I'm so digging that GK cover on #4.  And what a collection of cover artists for such a small run.:headbang:

Yeah, reminds me of his Conan 32 cover! I'm curious whether he did the inks on that one... His cover for #6 is pretty great too. To me, this period in the early 70's is the apex of Gil Kane's work.

  2. I have used them quite a bit - both auctions and BINs.

I've never had a problem with their grading, and their customer support is responsive. The only thing to be aware of is that their shipping is usually very slow.  (On the order of 4-6 weeks. I think this has to do with the way they manage their inventory of consigned items.)

Actually, my comment above refers to comicconnect. I've never ordered specifically from Metropolis. I know they have the same ownership, but they may be run as separate units...

"The truth is, the first movie is the first act, the second movie is the second act, the third movie is the third act," Gunn said. "So, I'm tying a lot of stuff together in the third film, we get a lot of answers to a lot of different things. And so, doing that in an elegant way, it takes a little bit of grace and elegance and it's more challenging in that respect."

Sorry, but I feel like he's talking it up to be way more than it is. To me, these movies are all about the fun characters and cool visuals. The stories themselves are pretty thin. Yes, there's a little character growth, but I don't see major narrative through-lines connecting the films so far. If Vol. 3 is just more of the same, people will tire of the franchise.
