I agree, the cover is crappy and I don't think photo covers belong on comics at all.

Yep it does....

Really? Most of them are by CC Beck and I like them and I really like this Kurt Schafenberger one...

Sure looks like someone opened the door and taking a picture of him changing into his costume. Isn't that the point of the cover that Parker is being found out that he is Spider-man?

of all the awesome stuff in this movie they just had to choose the worst thing in the movie for the cover....

I like the art a lot. What I hate is everything else, the logo and everything that looks like someone spent ten seconds doing it in microsoft paint. Covers and art period that I really don't like is anything by alex ross who has the most boring comic art ever. He has no style, nothing. It all looks like just painted over photographs, no imagination, no creativity, all his expressions and poses are all way too realistic and booooooring....

Happy Fourth of July! - Post your Stars and Stripes!

Not a comic, but a flag cover. I just recently got every issue of popular mechanics from 1936 to 1943. I saved them from being tossed out after someone's grandmother died and they were cleaning out her house. They look never read and just got warped from sitting in stacks on a shelf for decades.... -

How is any of this great for collectors? cgc and all this promise collection bs etc just makes all the rich keep driving prices up so no real person can afford anything. I couldn't afford much 35 years ago and now I can't even afford what used to be dirt cheap and no one cared about. But now that it's encased in plastic and has some made up number on it everyone pays tons for it all and now even trashed comics are getting out of my price range. Comic collecting just keeps getting worse and worse to me.

Well there were literally thousands of different kinds of barbed wire designs patented and made in the 19th century, plus handmade one of a kind barbed wires..It's actually pretty cool....

Not only do people encase comic books in plastic so they cannot be opened and looked at, they also then seal them up in a vault so they can't be seen period. What a strange, weird world I live in.

"Replica" don't mean what it used to (don't mind me, I'm just venting)

it was a toys r us giveaway comic what do you expect? i got these when they were giving them away in the mid 90s. I think there was a Detective 38 too and the first 60s batgirl issue whatever Detective issue that was. They were printed on newsprint too thats why i kept them -
Great just what we need, a book training people how to be snobby a-hole critics. As if all this "nerd" culture wasn't toxic enough.
