  1. So many parents and grandparents would roll over in their graves so ashamed.
  2. There will be beer and pizza that weekend just not as many comic dealers around or customers.
  3. I saw the word wine somewhere..... I was allowed to go to my wine storage to pull out a few things to sip on and grabbed the wrong box in my haste. I meant to grab some $20-30 stuff for rerun watching. Unfortunately these are a little too good for just me and Green Acre reruns. That is unless I have a 34 oz bone in aged rib-eye and a Sapphire up with a twist to start delivered accidentally.
  4. Checks in the mail! Ah the bragging rights... I don't need to brag, but yes I do own the original art to Action Comics 15...could you please pass the Gray Poupon? Why thank you my good man... here...something for your effort and good day to you sir!
  5. People ask me what they should collect and my response is what do you like? More often than not they are asking what do you think something is going to be worth in ten years. (Random number) I tell them if your buying something because you really have an appreciation for it that you can't go wrong whether it goes up or down in value. If your buying for investment purposes then buy the best blue chip items you can afford that have an established value within the medium and has shown stability and growth over time. Those are not always keys or secondary keys. Not everyone can afford a FF 1 but maybe you can afford a 5, 48, 52, or just a 73. If it is a 73 try to buy the best copy possible as higher grades sell for premium even with random numbers. The others are pretty much liquid in any condition. And here's a breakdown of the 73 someone put on YouTube. Lots and lots of great Kirby with a little Romita here and there.
  6. To each their own! A lot easier to haul around an original piece of art or two than a bunch of boxes of funny books when the Houston area is hit with yet another big storm.
  7. Would it be prying too much to ask what numbers 551-556 are?
  8. And then 70's gave us .... Mr Hayes one of the original cosplay superstars
  9. Had that. Saw that tour live. Where's the folded matchbook shoved in holding tape in just the right angle so no drag happening? Must be before it was played a zillion times.
  10. I got to see X many times between LA and the Bay Area and tore the dance floor up! A few years ago I sat ten feet from John Doe's acoustic show at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center Santa Cruz, CA. some Awesome good time! Look how ahead of the curve they were with their masks and while doing New World. Partied with Fishbone and drove a couple of the guys to a all night party after the show at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. Fishbone is red hot!
  11. Awesome stuff! Haven't seen Chris in a long time. I still have a box of his a-bomb sturdy backing boards. He always had good stuff to talk about
