In this case though, wasn't the book made for his 90th birthday and debuted at the party? At least thats what I thought was the reason for why its "special" and why those signed at the party were worth more. I agree that long-term, that might not really help it keep value.

Yeah, to me, this is a special case where the birthday edition is the desirable one worth considerably more due to how limited it is. Almost like a "from the collection of..." designation.

Yeah, I have some moonshine books to get signed too. I love that series as well.

Oh, and Terry Moore's Motor Girl has been entertaining to me so far.

I think its gonna depend on if its good/entertaining. I know thats so simplistic, but even Deadpool was a "niche" audience and R rated, but when people found out that it was fun and entertaining, it did very well. I think same thing will apply here.

I wouldn't doubt this person submitted and thought it was probably a 9.8. Ive had a few that I thought were easily 9.8 come back at 9.6. Having a smudge or something I didn't notice. Like others have said, originals will always sell better. The knock offs or reprints are simply to satisfy people who can't afford them and want the art. Same thing happens in the art world and fashion. It doesn't necessarily make the originals less valuable.

Liefeld tweeted that he was looking forward to getting together with all of them at ECCC (but didn't include Lee) and Silvestri is only there on Friday. So, might be scheduling issue. Fingers crossed that he makes it. Ill get to see him in Dallas though fortunately. If the panel happens, I bet its friday afternoon/evening.

Deadpool proved they can go rated R and still make scratch. Although there's no guarantee this one will make that much $$. I'm still not convinced on that part, but I think it'll be a good movie, or at least better than the last two DC's, last two Wolvies, last X-men movie. This is correct. Moves for the past 20 years have been geared towards teens since they see movies multiple times (PG-13). Deadpool did a lot for comic book movies.

Im not a fan of that movie, but that is huge. I know a lot of people who would go nuts for this. Congrats on getting that done Kevin!

That is correct. CGC does not accept COA, it has to be done by a CGC witness. There are other grading companies out there that will do verification service for that if you want. CGC does not do verification.

Damn this movie looks good. Im glad Ive bought a bunch of X-23 books. I haven't really liked previous wolverine movies, but this one will be a first weekend viewing for me.
