I just won an auction on eBay for a 9.6 CGC SS signed by JSC for $418. I wanted a 9.8 but this one had low bids so I thought I could get a good price on it.

Example is current Thunderbolts #7 1:25. That is marvel, but not a popular title so not a large print run. That book is spiking atm.

Its my favorite new series of recent releases. I bought 5 of the regular covers in 9.6-9.8 condition. I also bought one of each variant along with multiple #2. I love the #2 regular cover. Im just about to send them all off for grading.

He is running 30% off for almost everything until Wednesday. I do agree that his prices are high on some things. But, on some, it is a good deal and the code makes it every better. NANETTE3 code for 30% off. I ordered probably 20-30 books from there over past few days. I compared those prices to eBay sales and it was a better deal on all.

I have 2 left to get for full Catwoman....about 6-8 for Wonder Woman. Zatanna has been the hardest for me to find in shops.

But, if you see a NM 98 in a dollar box, for example, are you going to pass it up because you already have it in your collection? I would do that, but then flip it or trade to get more comics that I like. I agree with his point mostly. I would say that value 20yrs from now is second (but not far second )

I buy modern comics and variants usually because I like the covers. I have DEFINITELY read a thread, saw a cover based on it and then went out to eBay or comic website to purchase it. I can see popular posts driving some sales.

I bought a CGC graded 8.0 of 251 last year. Got it signed by Neal and then it came back as a SS 8.5 grade. Im debating getting O'Neil to sign and then press/resubmit.

It was a 6.0 for $48/free shipping. I might try to spend a bit more and get a higher grade.

I agree. It didn't look like normal damage from shipping. It looked like someone rather large dropped/stepped on it. The CGC case kept it relatively well protected though.

I know its cliche, but I still love 251 probably the best. That comic was one of the ones that made me fall in love with comic covers. Im hoping O'Neill and Adams are at a convention together some time this year. I need O'Neill on my 251 and have numerous that I want signed by both (GL/GA 76 being one). I almost picked up 395 the other day for a good price. Im kicking myself now. I need to get it.
