Yeah, Ive done a bunch of orders over past couple days. Had a couple more I wanted to get done. I thought it was by April 28 and then when I tried to do another tonight, nada. Ugh. One of my orders is for some silver age. I was stupid and should have done it first the other day.

Reminds me of all the b***ing with signature series about how artists should sign comics for free. "How dare anyone try to make a dime on the hobby that I love!!"

Obviously, its grown extremely fast. Not sure if its fastest ever, but it has jumped tremendously. The fact that CGC is getting more and more behind and trying to hire people is one sign (and its not just having added trading cards). I've heard multiple people (on YouTube channels, not sure about these boards) complaining about CGC's turnaround times and then ALSO complaining about price increases. While I know its simplistic, CGC growing (and yes raising prices) is good for our hobby long term.

Over past few weeks, Ive grabbed up every MCP 72 from back issue bins. Weren't in the dollar bins, but I found 3 copies (ranged in price from $4-$8). I think a couple are NM+ or better. One looks just NM (possibly NM-). Has a couple tiny spine ticks.

Yeah, I like Duncanville Been there a couple times. Its just a drive for me. Ive seen them at more cons than actually been to their store. haha.

Yeah, I went to 5 shops today. A couple that Ive been to many times, but decided to drive to some more to check them out. One had a bunch of long boxes for "back issues", but it was mostly unbagged/boarded and not in any order whatsoever. I had a bunch more stops so didnt have the strength to go through them all. What I did go through, I didnt really find anything. It does make me appreciate the shops that have everything organized.

I went to an LCS today that had most of the floor space reserved for stacks and stacks of figures/statues along with tables for Magic playing. The back issues drawers wouldn't even open all the way because of it. Very frustrating. I wont go back there.

Catching up on some spec this week and also just some covers I like. Im a big fan of Viv Vision. Along with a couple Vision #1's in 9.8, I have a couple 9.8 signed All New Wolverine 13's. Love that cover. I made a good deal on a lot of these books from the same seller so got offers accepted in bulk. Saved some good money that way. Everything is NM+ or better (the Marvel Comics Presents Weapon X #1 is NM I believe). My other Weapon X is probably NM- so I wanted a little better copy. Grabbed those today from same LCS that had Tankers #1 and the ASM 55 (love that Miles cover)...

Today, I went to the same LCS that had Tankers 1 the other day. I swear it looked like they hadn't sold any more. I bought another. Perfect copy. They still had 2-3 left. Was this book just hyped and easy to get now??

I have a signed 9.8 of the Skottie Young. My only Moon Knight #1 from 2014 other than a second print of cover A.

Heard rumors of Gambit....based on speculation though afaik. Something about a quote Anthony Mackie said in an interview, the fact that theres a New Orleans connection on the show, and maybe some other minor things.

Yeah, I havent been reading it and didnt pre-order it so when I went out to grab cover a (and maybe the steelfreeze variant) they were sold out.

Havent had a chance to read it yet, but I love the concept.

I was surprised. They were beside the register though and I bet a lot of people didnt see them. Is that a Bad Idea thing to have them displayed next to the register? It was a Bad Idea display box with Tankers and Eniac 2 in it.

We all know how DC villains go. Theres a ton of them. It all comes down to if/when she is used and how. My god, how many new villains have there been in the past couple issues of Batman alone?

Oh, the other shop I went to, they said they got one (Joker 2) in and it went to a long-time customer. They didnt have anymore, but said 25+ people had asked for it this morning.

I did a round of 2 LCS's this morning. Added this on my list to check, one had both covers of #1 in NM+ condition. Grabbed them up at cover. One shop had the Joker #2 secret variant (Santa whatever). They had it on their shelf for $250. I picked it up and looked at it then set it down. Literally a guy ran over and grabbed it off the shelf as soon as I put it down. Haha.

Yes, from a business standpoint. Im sure they are making a killing and they havent really missed a step. Im assuming its going exactly the way they wanted.

From a business standpoint, I am really impressed with how they have done this release. Yes, Cover A is still readily/heavily available at shops/online, but they have made some of the subsequent print run copies desirable. The perception that the series will be successful, while an old trick, seems to have worked here to some extent. In the long run, the rarer books of this series will be worth something based on the quality of the movie/tv series and so on. We can expect this model to be copied by other actors. Reminds me of the one Mark Wahlberg was going to make, but didnt (Alien bountyhunter or something like that?). I expect this one will get made, but we'll see.
