  1. Just because I have a little spare time and he is an epic scumbag, two more: X-Men 117 he purchased Same book he resold as "original owner" "unread" in "extremely high-grade" stating it was a 9.6 Same story but here you can see he makes up his own grade as 9.6. Doesn't disclose the OW pages as the original owner did. X-Men 129 he purchased His resale
  2. This guy is the worst. Based on the condition of the comic that I got from him, he definitely was ripping people off with listings. Not good for anyone that sells on eBay or anyone that buys on eBay. Gives sellers bad names and makes buyers back off from bidding. Sad part is he had good feedback for a while. I attribute that to many people not knowing the difference between a 9.0 vs. a 9.6 or 9.8. Even 8.5's can look nice to an untrained eye. The "9.6 unread beautiful original owner" book I bought from him came complete with color breaking spine ticks, color breaking creases along the top front page, corner creasing and for good measure a big dent (looked like something dropped on the book). Non of which were visible or disclosed in his listing. He had the nerve to give me attitude when confronted about the condition. Got back a lot of my money and for good measure decided to look into the guy because he acted like such a wild wildebeest man when I told him he over graded his comic. No one acts like that much of a rabid animal unless he has something to hide. Hence, I present my findings to the board so that people avoid this guy.
  3. You are correct about just saying high grade. The Super Boy #68 was the one auction I used as an example because it is clear that it is the same comic. Since the SB was so beat up any buyer that bought that was not smart, doesn't mean this guy isn't a DB for lying like that. But here are two more examples: Example 1: (Strictly to prove beyond doubt that he resells the same comic look at the CGC registration #) X-Men 221 CGC 9.8 Resale of same CGC saying he was original owner and he CGC'd it Guess original owner and unread means nothing to this guy. This was just to prove, like the SB, beyond a doubt that this guy is a liar and is buying and reselling under false pretenses. Example #2: Spiderman #39 he buys on August 15 and resells on Sept. 2 again magically being the "original owner" stating the comic is in high grade, been in climate control, bought off the news stand and never read. This one you can see how the pictures of his sale are misleading, even though his whole listing is a bunch of BS. August 15 purchase September 2nd Sale While he did lose money on this sale, there are tons of other examples where he bought higher mid-grade raw comics and then sold them for 4 to 5 x's the price he purchased with his BS and deceptive pictures. Would list them here but don't think it is necessary. The SB and the X-Men 221 make it clear that he was the original buyer, that is why I listed them. It also shows you his hidden ebay id on the bidder link. The Spider-Man 39 was just one example of probably multiple where he misrepresented how a raw comic was stored and being unread. Other comics he sold he started to actually put numbers such as 9.6/9.8 to get the bidding even higher. I told eBay about how he was misrepresenting his items and customer service didn't care. Oh well, figured I would post it here in case anyone came across this guy.
  4. Guess not, wouldn't matter anyway the guy is a scam artist. I bought two comics from him. His listings state that he "found" his old collection in his attic and he was the original owner of the comics he's selling. He also states that his comics are very high grade, commonly stating 9.6/9.8 and claiming they were purchased off of the news stand brand new and never read. Photo's are taken in a way that defects are hard to see on a lot of comics and purposely avoid showing defects such as creases and color break. His 9.6 was an 8.5 maybe 9.0. Review of his items sold and buyer feedback shows that he guy is buying comics from other ebay users and then relisting them with outrageously high grades claiming that he was the original owner and they are in unread condition. Here is an example where he resells a low grade SB #68 for 4 x's what he paid by stating his BS: Item he purchased Item he sold Observed at least 5-10 other comics where he did the same thing. Second comic I purchased was never shipped, had to get Ebay involved to get my money back. Not to mention the first comic he shipped was first packaged in a small box. Then the box was placed inside a medium sized USPS flat rate box WITHOUT any additional packaging like newspaper or peanuts. The smaller box just banged around the whole time during shipping. Avoid this guy, his photo's, item description and story is all made up.
  5. Anyone know the below listed ebay user? Wondering if he is a board member before I comment on his BS listings and scams: eBay username- jaspers_comics

  7. Thanks for all the opinions. Seems like I'm overriding it a little bit, damn sidey and his beautiful covers. Not lucky enough to get the rare pink variant, only lucky enough to find the cream to ow variant. ?
  8. All defects can be seen in the scans except for some very light creasing that does not break color. Pages are either cream to OW or OW. Opinions are appreciated. I was personally thinking 9.0 to 9,2? Sorry, my scanning skills needs some work. Not sure why the scan of the back made it look so pink.
  9. Thanks, my favorite Batman cover. Way too nice to be sitting in a comic box. I have to admit that the newer Harley Quin: nn where she is dancing with the Joker is amazing as well.
  10. First comic ever received back from CGC. Can finally display it without worrying that someone will sneeze on it and ruin Neal Adam's finest work (IMO)
