  1. Only about the 45 issues I owned, but not all in a row. I had a friend in college that spoke well of it and was a fan before rumblings of a show. It was explained to me, and gave us something to do between classes. Still traded about 19 books for $450 which gave me 3 decent slabs and averages onl about $23 per book, but I had made money on the other 6 slabs, along with the subsequent 20 or so raws and doubles. I'm still trying to get over it Easier for a store to sell 19 slabs (which they have already which put me in good with lcs I suppose) than I, and as you point out, I got to read it. Most of it anyway @Cat edit to fix auto correct and to say that I got the gist of it in the 45 issues, just wasn't seeking it out as much. Was still before the show when I obtained them.
  2. Ya it's got the Christmas feeling to it, although it's abnormally warm in temperature still, which is welcome. I was tempted to keep these anyway, but would have sold if it could help. I agree on #1 and selling, the reason I had slabbed all that extra was to trade for #1, but LCS's said, "It's a fair deal but easier to sell 1 slab rather than 26." They passed at first. Idk it was the first blue costume or Jim lee I read it and it's the first the kid helps and they unite as brothers, it kind of reminded me of trying to play as heroes with "my" brother as kids
  3. Lol no worries, I don't use it often, want to be correct when I do, and wasn't much else going on Merry Christmas! I thought I'd mention the only Invincible I have left is #144 in cgc 9.8, and Invincible returns #1 the variant in 9,4 , which is also the 1st grand Regent thragg. I figured I'd wait until you'd finished reading, and I'm glad you enjoyed! I only last month got Disney so now 2 streaming services, and I can't go over board to also be able to "watch Invincible!" Still glad you're enjoying With the last issue and 1st appearances I do hope more comes down the pike!
  4. I didn't really see an origin tab. I still say closer to patten, as in my mind it would have also translated to not easily copied, but you know I can learn.
  5. It really probably comes down to I've heard it said more often than written, but with American accents it gets lost.
  6. Well I knew that for sure, but thought that is why it had the c, to the order of having it down as an "oath or gospel" on a subject. It made more sense than whomever Pat is and why we should all have it down like him or her Your Australian and maybe don't know this pic as reference, although there was a movie! But it does make more sense, I'd have to look up the definition of pat maybe it means more like a patten on a subject in shortened to pat from patten like an invention?
  7. It's without the c good to know 💯 Although by the time I use it again I'll forget
  8. but do the eyes light up and is it glow in the dark!?! Still cool. I remember a tall Swampy or Man-thang that even made it to television in the Big Bang Theory show, but that takes commitment!
  9. Personal vent that may contribute but just where I'm coming from, no reply needed, other than to say if you turned me into a long winded poster then that's on you! TLDR version hahaha 🤣😂
  10. It is probably "easier", so to speak, or at least serves a purpose in a thread like this, a dedicated thread to capitulating in vast value differences or fluctuation. We've got the heating up threads and etc. that people sometimes post in, and when not doing so I assume there are no red hots or everyone is holding rather than putting in the work a dealer would need to to constantly sell at a good price. As opposed to holding through movie or other spec. I guess what I need to check for myself or even more these days when it's not so obvious are "constant sales" books. Maybe not even heating up or in a decrease, but you've got your ASM and Batman and other regulars, so what would help me specifically is searching books I own for past sales to see what is consistent if just for a baseline for comparing everything else or all other useful threads mentioned. I'm not a dealer and only sell one or two books a year, I'm thankful to the Lord to have chosen well in what to part with, which was my issue on other movie etc spec as I didn't sell I'd buy instead due to inventory, but now that I have inventory I should do what everyone else has to revisit. Buying is another sort of animal altogether that I can agree that to just buy what you love works. I still need the seller baseline for comparison though. In my mind good sellers would be at auction houses eventually and etc but I would have to assume that haha Worth mentioning also that I guess 🙏 with steady sellers (also figure out what would be a not forgotten book or some wayside dead in the water book) which in turn could pick up again.
  11. Lol I feel you. I don't think anyone meant to disparage the thread or the outcome and purpose, @VintageComics asked a simple big picture question Put on the spot i think i had forgot I had to vent to figure it out, not only to give an answer, but to know for myself and edify hahha I was thankful, grateful, but was spoiled in your work, needed to vilify to give credit where due, and nothing wrong with rehashing. It's at least different and better than the just looking at some decrease in value with our Jaws to the floor Time has passed, and who knows if it'll help us to look with fresh eyes now that its been revisited. Thanks again.
  12. It was a passable point for me, but heartily agree that gaming has its merits in "school activities!" Whether it be odd facts or trivia and or math, reading, typing (which sounds like a step child to writing in cursive lol) ha! I remembered a post about video games being a distraction somehow, but I guess that post was a ways back and moving on, stage left!!
  13. I'm noticing the theme of yellow backgrounds with Superman. Merry upcoming Christmas
  14. +1 💯 percent agree, and as for myself, if I get around to compiling past lists with comparable or similar books on a list, I'll let that contribute too.
  15. I think that game was the first I stayed up all night to beat it, but then it was over and no one was around to believe me, except the code for the win 80s pre internet and etc. Looks great!
  16. I noticed in the death part they were sure to say "died of natural causes!". You could google as idk if I copied and pasted the part of "ate and ate but not without consequences... Dot Dot Dot", as I had dinner coming up soon, and didn't want to spoil my appetite.
  17. Amen 😂 I did get the idea to start compiling past lists, as I think once upon a time some went back as far as 2019. It's pretty much in the thread or past, just if I had the need for one to know, I'd look and possibly share. I just know lists differ and they are somewhat comparable with the losses being prevalent. It's appreciated
  18. That's the thing, with it being different titles or issues it was both consistent and sparse with someone being a newcomer looking at it, or I had to rack my brain. Still as mentioned for winners, it'd be nice if there were books I owned on there, but I can't expect that and no one should Other than to say that there continues a downward trend and if it respite, then Lord willing the list is enough of the stated market (within clink or auction houses) to at least get a picture. I don't know that peeps have been drawing conclusions or making thousand dollar decisions off of it, but it is certainly a good chunk of past sales with percentage comparisons.
