  1. I think that google finds enough threads for now... thanks though
  2. Speaking of which, is there a place for a list of retired labels? I'm curious to see how far back they go, and if the Stan label is there because I know there were 2 official editions: 1 for his website at the time, which was even 'more limited". and then one in "general availability" directly from CGC...
  3. Agree on all points my friend. I'm not sure as I saw a reaction to a post that was then changed, but I think one of the people that asked the going rate or what would you'd pay @Parabellum was the owner of the 9.8 2nd print... He was asking due to seeing the buzz, which is all good if reasonable and not gouging. I just mention to further inquire about who it is you'd be talking to in a transaction. I'd maybe wait for further confirmation, and who knows? Maybe just being optimistic with a 1 of 1 to check the market, nothing wrong with that
  4. Tell me about it. I sold a cgc 8.5 iron man submariner on the boards for $200 one time. I had people saying what a deal, and no one claimed it until finally the person did that was local and he asked me to meet up to deliver it. Saving on shipping. That's not like a complaint, but the lengths I would go to to make a fair deal, it is just an example of "what" exactly my experience of selling on the boards has been like. Ya it was only one book and not an assortment, ya I understand it had only been like most of my threads listed for three days. I can only guess that it is me somehow due to not scheduling better to sell, because I don't usually plan on waiting weeks to a month to wrap it up. Again not a complaint, I just don't often sell period So take my experience with a grain of salt 😜
  5. idk if it was as clearly stated, imo it only said "limited edition", and CGC said that was due to copyright and other contractual stuff that we are not exactly privy too. In short and for the most part, they HAVE BEEN limited, this has at least been since 2016, so that is half a decade with limited efficiency.... Beyond that reputation and etc. but that is my understanding
  6. I think they did the same with some Walking Dead labels in the past, but maybe they weren't available to "everyone" Something about the registry/"ME"S again, but more to the tune of we'll see if we can order more just to cover the "ME'S" This is more of a rerelease, which I can understand sets precedent. They could at least put "edition 2" on it, or "rerelease" or something?
  7. tbh I vaguely remember a thread where people begged for this label to come back for a second, and @CGC Mike they tagged him to put in the good word. Something about a registry and wanting all the same labels, which were EVEN sent in "IN time?" but a few were mechanical errors, but by the time those were sent in, the label was retired? I may be way out of left field on the reasoning, but could have swore this was tagged for unretirement in a thread of request, hence why it IS BACK for a second. idk I'm more worried about the guy who said, "no one remembers and there is no proof that the Stan Lee limited label happened!" Something about it not being in the "list of past retired labels?" oye unless I'm dreaming or some kind of deja vu I have a New York Label, one other label of spidey, but then have 3 to 4 of the Stan Lee and I'm dreading it being to newcomers like 1st gen labels where the new people wonder if even real Sounds more detrimental to me but
  8. I had a similar experience, my invincible for sale that you can find pics of in the selling section? (It's closed as they're on consignment at LCS although the next part proves they're still available) We're about 26 slabs, ranging from 8.0to9.8. Been on consignment at one LCS for a month or more and none have sold. I live close enough to mycomicshop that I should try them, but this LCS seemed easier, and I didn't necessarily need all to sell. If I sent to mycomicshop it would be hard to pick back up any remainder Rambling a bit, but 0 have sold. Tried another sale thread for tomb of Dracula 12 2nd blade at a good price in cgc 9.6 still nothing. It is what it is. I know they're not as many eyes as eBay, but everyone always suggests the boards and etc. Not a complaint, but to me reflects some of the market, and how it is not as easy as it looks so to speak. Tbh I'm not buying either as most of my money went towards other hobbies. Part of why I'm selling to get back in the game sooner. 😕
  9. If I'm honest and it wasnt about appearances: Legion of superheroes Adam Hughes supergirl. A Campbell sketch of a figure character signature series. Many that I've found in bins but passed on because it was low grade, such as Wolverine 145 Nabisco, albedo 3, among others. Beyond that, I'm sure there are more, but I've been blessed so that it is all good, and I hope and am glad that others have had those success stories. Even with these specific examples, as I admire those that are common minded. I still see the boards post more cool stuff all the time, so let's just say to be continued.
  10. Thanks for saying the same of what "could be", as in his post it wasn't clear he was aware either. I've had trepidation because what if you have 2 forms of payment saved: cc and PayPal, but don't realize one is set as default and gets used instead of the one intended. That would be my thing as idk the default of my own but don't do auctions If it were to be forced on bin too? And not just when as I check out? Cause click of a button would catch me off surprise, if I didn't have to then enter the info fresh. I haven't bought in a while though but have y'all to ask. Idk so many questions, but am broke atm
  11. It means used to you could bid in an auction, and when it was over choose how you want to pay, and now it is when the auction is over it pays it automatically with whatever payment method is default. While you can do what you want, it has been mentioned in the eBay thread, and I only mention it because the buyer didn't know and evidently neither do you. I could see how it would be a snag is what I mean, they didn't offer to repay or pay another way? Was it even an auction? Things to consider. When claiming an item however auction bin etc, it basically automates it and no longer have two days to pay, it requires immediate payment. Afaik it was discussed mainly if the seller requires immediate payment but that was never hashed out if you could turn it off. @skypinkblu I think was apart of the eBay thread conversation, you might trust her more than I, if I'm remembering correctly. Hope that sheds light regardless
  12. Same boat on superman #75. Sent in cgc 9.8, came back with breeding and jurgens beautifully placed signatures and a 9.6 grade with one note from the grader that detailed a singular flaw that falls well within the cgc 9.8 standards according to cgc's published book. I took a pic of the description they grade by.... so im sending back friday to press and regrade. Expecting a 9.8 to return as it looks perfect in the case and pressing will fix the issue describbed I was more specific to polybags, as that is a must press. Beyond that now you have me worried, but I took scans of the book I sent for Bagley to sign and remarque, posted them in the spare a grade thread here: Feel free to look and post up what grade you think it is, and that is before cgc presses it. That way Lord willing when I get my grade we can confirm. Pins and needles here Still at GEI but they're closed for the day now, so maybe by Friday.
  13. If the registry went away, there would be no more incentive for me to send books to CGC. idk if for myself I'd go that far, but admire your pluck. I suppose I was just unaware the 1999 had a start to 2 Batman Beyond Series, seems like a simple fix, but I was in this case just ignorant
  14. Once more... It is still registered in my overall gallery But it ISN"T in a registered set..... I have 710 books all with pics, all 710 pics show up in the overall, but only 709 are registered to a set because the registry dropped the Batman Beyond #1 so idk how it can show up with pics and a description and somehow "also not be registered to a set!?!" @jstam @wyts
  15. I'm sure y'alls Bagleys have shipped! Thought there would be pics or scans but in time I suppose. Mine finally went to gei!
  16. Ya the new Robin issue at the top would mean 2nd print, which I think in Newsstand and for now is where the money is. And yet all of those SAY 457 and don't have the indicia error... All I hear reported about the indicia error is about direct. This is the error with Newsstand which might command a premium but there is no pump and, ahem, mention of it online except for here. So idk
  17. Whoa! Remember me if I ever get you in the Christmas exchange 😺 😂😆 But man front and back is sahweeet!
  18. I wish I knew how to get links from social that didn't take you to the social media itself Edit link out, buy stand by my comment
  19. It might not even need an article, but be actually correct, idk (don't get me started ) but I can see where you're coming from.
