  1. it WAS pinned at the top, happened early morning Monday.... Lost some posts and etc but wasn't too much of a hassle that I'm aware of, other than getting the "new forum add-ons" up and running, even after the update. Wasn't much else, I almost thought it would be an all day thing, but it had happened early last Saturday too, and affected about the same amount of time.... Wasn't much to miss
  2. There was also this post right before your posts asking, by some miracle his was done with pressing already? wow! But it had been edited, so you might have read it before the edit, so just an fyi
  3. They are nice. Far superior to card-embossed or lenticular covers. I could only imagine if such pristineness became universal from here on out, it would be 9.9 or bust. I imagine the current ripple paper quality that some books have is due to production and new mechanics going another way. Whatever it takes to keep the "reader mentality" I'd be up for it though. Many weekends at the coffee shop with dad as a kid, starting with funny pages in newspapers, turned to me forty years later getting him a Shazam comic to read as that was his favorite as a kid. To the point though, there are manufactured collectables and there are those bought for the same purposes, although not manufactured specifically as a collectable. That distinction varies in everyone, and I wonder how much the medium holds up in the long run?
  4. This was what I was speaking to as well. I was told that mine was signed and sketched by bagley on August 29th. That said, they were to be closed until the 31st, due to the weather, and I'll probably still use that 2 days later to start my tat clock on the 8 weeks with press. If no press it could be at months end for you or early next month at the latest. With a press I'm estimating Oct 26th at my 8 week deadline. Ie *will still be a while.
  5. No it misquoted, just to respond to @grendelbo I was talking about the patsy walker, which he chose the bronze over the #11 golden age. Glad to clarify
  6. To be fair that copy of mine has a tear through the spine and all pages. LCS sold it for $20 and there was a sale going, but that was circa 2018 I'm not sure what it'd grade out at, I had it in spare a grade at one point. Found it this year in a box, and traded to the LCS for something really as miniscule as the bronze age. I never could find sales on it and when I did, it was $40-50 for a fine copy. I almost want to say it was my only golden age too. That said when that was a this or that, I chose silver age. Imo there is sometimes too rare and I can get impatient about it with the Golden age.
  7. It's been slow for me, glad to see prospects and people still buying . Lcs said as well it is slow but may be typical for the time of year. I know I'm broke, but LCS's has a sale for like 34% when you buy a comic box for $15, anything that fits in the box and lid shuts all of that is 34% off. Anyway, they have a tmnt #2 1st print! Priced at $175. I got a look at it, it's vf minus, but prices are all over the place it seems. Again I'm broke , a tale of woe Thanks for listening
  8. Used to be mechanical error, not sure why the change unless you had credit they used, which would be worse case scenario? @CGC Mike
