  1. I heard they found again the largest frog that is either trip enducing or that of making you sick, in Australia recently, called the giant cane toad. They had to wear gloves, I know that.
  2. Ah thanks 🙏 I took would go for #337.
  3. I thought about mentioning Thor movies and awaiting until after, but it's a conundrum. I'm not grading them, but the Thor I'd almost rather buy already graded with that white spine. I'm leaning more towards the DC, but idk, it's anyone's guess
  4. It did make me think of digging my copy out, as I'm unsure what printing it IS! Yet I think I got it bought for me for a long plane ride and I read it but then has been in some type of makeshift bag and board, due to size, ever since... Congrats on reminding me of memories @Iconic1s good times
  5. No Harm, I thought I might have been rude, didn't mean it that way No foul, it's been a slow sign up as of late.
  6. It could be a lot of people are sending in their own slabs for CGC to crack out for the signing, and if so, CGC has to window bag it for us, so therefore it would be in a "CGC Window Bag!"
  7. Amen. I could use a 1st Modok in #94 they seem very plentiful in lower grade, sounds like a lot of people read the story! "Tales" books have been slow on my repertoire, whether to astonish, of suspense, and etc. Nice to see the run in decent shape
  8. I was remembering some specific issues where the scores are out of whack, but not knowing all the importance of certain issues and there scores, I'm wondering if certain books value will change? will they change or is it just the way all books are scored might be tallied different, ie completion, pics, description? There are a few books I'd be interested in purchasing, but I saved them for last as they're worth a "lot of points." It's time when I need to purchase them, but I'm still hesitant if I should get them before others because it may look like point chasing? Even though I own other similar or in the run, because the points for the books themselves might change? If you lowered everything to the "9.0 mark", as you said, can you give us an example of a book and the affect on it?
  9. That's pretty nice. I'm quite tempted. I saw it when posted here earlier, I can't shake the feeling it feels like he's wearing a top set of dentures. Shouldn't he have a set of vampire teeth, something odd about being flat all the way across. Then with the bulbous cheeks it has too old a feel for me idk
  10. How are these changes to affect the over all score? Like if we have a bunch of sets, but only halfway completed half of the sets we create? As has been stated in the thread, some sets have tons of books! Some collectors although its "not the census", want books in the registry cause they may be of same character and type. Rather than a custom set or creating a bunch of sets, I like to obtain "keys to me." How will the over all picture look? It was mentioned TMNT that all but number 1 obtained in 9.8 and they're ranked #15-18. How in the world will a completion percentage affect them to still win an award? I'm not familiar enough but I'm guessing that #1 in 9.8 is just that many points? Yet imo I haven't checked, but with TMNT especially and there being a LOT of completionists in that set, assumed, I'm not sure the "fix is in?"
  11. You mean that's going to help individual completion score sets right? In this case TMNT only?
  12. They're made out of cardboard not steel, so yes they could bend like that, edit to say, cardboard like paper, it should be harder to bend than a regular comic, but not nearly as hard as you make it sound some in the copper era are even more like glossy paper than cardboard.... Why do you ask?
  13. I'm not sure what the books specifically go into after the signing, but yes they'll keep it in the window bag for the signature. Until it goes to pressing, where they have to take it out for pressing, which is after the signing. I know from there they put it in something especially for the grading room, as ive seen them show it in videos. Even until it gets to grading it'll be kept safe. @CGC MikeI'm not sure how to describe it
  14. Just to show, you never know! You too can do the dew!
