  1. Newbie Comic Collecting Questions - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com) Those are a lot of questions that only you can answer, no one can tell you how to collect, nor put it all in one post without asking a TON of more questions. I encourage you to start at the link above. 1)Pressing a s CGC service, so is 2) grading 3) any book you want, collect what you love! 4) doubtful for me 5) depends on #1-4
  2. Awesome and thanks for the heads up! Been putting in a window today that is an odd size, I still haven't got around to cracking the books open But that explains the cgc label
  3. StarSlayer #3 is the 2nd rocketeer, and unfortunately the copy I found in the wild a long time ago has an ad cut out and so it is a permanent reader But quite the little run for StarSlayer including #2 as the 1st rocketeer Even if it is the short stories involved or included that are the goal
  4. It is thank you, I mention groo in my post, supposedly #4 also has some groo pages too, but cgc marks #5 as the 2nd appearance with Destroyer duck #1 being the first appearance I havent had time to crack them open yet.
  5. ah so you answered as a hypothetical ..... with the Stan Lee and etc. for personal reasons... No Worries, I asked because mine was signed by Claremont and I'm wondering the implications... Since you responded I'll ask you too, not to hijack the thread, as Claremont is still alive, and I would argue "could still be on the table?" as opposed to the it's not Stan not worth it etc. My GSXM #1 was a 7.0 blue label, likewise a signing opportunity with CGC came up with Claremont with a flat cost no matter the value of the book on CGC insurance to submit. I think Claremont was somewhere around $120 total. I had joeypost press before sending for the signing. IT WAS a blue label 7.0, came back a signature series CGC 8.0 with a Claremont signature. Based on sales, I'm not sure if I stuck myself in the foot or traded one issue for another. IMO it shouldn't hurt and should still be worth what an 8.0 sells for etc. idk, and idk if I should suggest Claremont sigs on this issue to others or is a personal choice I know he was credited with "help on the book", sig isn't so much for the investment but that the press and etc grade was one flat cost and etc. I'm spinning wheels, but I would agree there are much more "apporpriate books" for Claremont sig. idk. I don't know if it was "worth it or worthy to be considered in the running" given the 1st post doesn't even mention that as "an option" though still alive!
  6. Some groo pages, and a half price books coupon used before it expired
  7. Does no one think Claremont with the credit for the ending of the book is a good idea? @s-man @Lesliesfbay
  8. hmmm odd I thought there were more announcements, but I don't see them on their site
  9. That is hands down a cool set up! I wish my house wasn't so cluttered, and or etc, but rather than turn it into a rant That looks well planned and thought out, without risk of damage Sculpts are recognizably accurate. Horror is not my thing, but with reminiscent svengoolie material, it has been around a long while! Awesome! Nice tag btw that is the 1st person I thought of too
  10. How wild! Lcs? Or in the woods? Used Bookstore? Lol awesome!
  11. dang It is the chick from Spider-man that is in Dune, Idk why I thought it was the chick from Fast and the Furious... I even saw Dune 1 in theaters Memory? Anyway, Lord willing should see this Monday perhaps
  12. Or the numbers looked slightly off and idk why... One is legit the other is the slab above but anyway
  13. That's what I thought as the numbers aren't at a slant in any way either, but cert checks out, just WEIRD!
