  1. I bought a small stack of Bronze/Copper DC books recently, and many of them were still in the original subscription mailers. What does this add to the value of the books? None of them are particularly key books, but several of them are pretty sharp. I see some empty envelopes sold on eBay for (what seems to me) quite a bit. I don't see anything in the way of books sold in/with the original mailers. Let me know what you guys think or know.
  2. Make an offer before I close this one down. THIS THREAD IS NOW CLOSED. Happy to field inquiries, as I will likely move these to other venues. Thanks.
  3. Price cuts throughout. I have decided not to list the Down With Crime and Ken Shannon sets. I want to keep them together, and keep working on them.
  4. War Birds #2, 1952, Fiction House. Solid and tight. Stain top front spine area, corner chip top right front, stain back top corner, some spine wear. I think it’s a 4.0. $35
  5. Wanted Comics #44, Toytown, 1942. Solid and complete copy. Spine wear and corner creasing, but glossy, flat and tight. I think it’s a 4.5. $45
  6. Underworld Crime #1, 1952, Fawcett. Good color, and very minimal surface wear. Small stain back cover, small spine split at the top. The split is probably the limiter here. Let’s go 4.5. $120
  7. So much for "quick"...trying to get back to these today. Meantime, I would love to hear offers on what's here. I will look into specific price reductions as time permits.
  8. Strange Journey #s 3 & 4, 1958, Farrell. This represents half of the whole series. #3 is glossy and flat, looking like a mid-grade book, but chipping impacting most edges and especially the bottom of the spine area. I have it at 3.0. #4 looks like a run of the mill VG, but chew impacts the bottom edge of the entire book. Dropping to 1.5 for that. $110 for the pair. **NOW $99**
  9. Kent Blake Of The Secret Service #1, 1951, Marvel. Great looking book, but a couple big issues. First, it was manufactured without staples. Complete, but unattached…ha. There is a 2-2.5” tear in the right edge of the front cover in the red bar, there is a 1.5” split at the top, there is some paper missing on a couple pages of the interior only affecting the margin (this feels like it was production as the interior pages were not cleanly cut….maybe dull blades leading to the issue). But the blacks are deep and there isn’t a lot of surface or spine wear besides what is noted. Mylar all star. Let’s go 3.0 but looks a lot better. $55 **NOW $47**
  10. Take all five Crimefighters books for $240 shipped in the US.
  11. Crime Reporter #1, 1948, St. John. Love this cover. Tear with piece missing top spine area (front and back), spine wear, other general wear, and some aging. I bought as a 3.0 and that fits. $190 **NOW $175**
  12. Crime Fighters #13, 1954, Atlas. Last issue of the series so find a #12 and you can make a complete run. Pretty decent copy with a vertical book length crease, other minor creasing, some spine wear, pulling at the staples but still attached. I think it’s 4.0 again but maybe 4.5. $45 **NOW $39**
  13. Crime Fighters #11, 1954, Atlas. Fist issue of the Atlas version of the series. Good color and gloss, surface wear, spine wear, edge wear. Complete and attached. I think it’s 4.0. $40 **NOW $35**
  14. Crimefighters #9, 1949, Marvel. Lots of general wear. Tearing at the staples (especially at top back), creasing, corner trying to come off at top front. It’s low grade. Probably 2.0 again. $20 **NOW $18**
  15. Crimefighters #2, 1948, Marvel. Another great cover. Some discoloration on the bottom staple that impacts cover and a couple wraps (not discolored at CF), 0.25-0.5” tear at bottom edge that goes all the way through, tiny splits at both top and bottom. I think it’s better than the #1, but not a lot. Maybe as high as 3.0. $75 **NOW $67**
  16. Crimefighters #1, 1948, Marvel. Love this cover. Lots of spine roll, front cover pulled through bottom staple, two small pieces of tape on interior of front cover repairing a tear, rounded corners. Complete and attached. I think it’s a 2.0. $95 **NOW $85**
