  1. Once there's news on the Black Adam movie Shazam 28 is going to become a MAJOR DC bronze key IMO.
  2. Weekend bump. Closing thread Sunday.
  3. For Sale! Let's try this again...book will be shipped via USPS Registered with signature required. Please no new users. No return on CGC graded books. Check out my kudos at the bottom. Archie Comics #50 Infamous "headlights" issue 2nd highest graded Similar copy with considerably worse page quality just sold for $5040, without shipping or taxes, at Heritage - https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/archie-comics-50-archie-1951-cgc-vf-80-light-tan-to-off-white-pages/a/7224-92007.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 Asking $4800 shipped to your door. Here's my kudos:
  4. Edited with one-time price drop! Thanks for looking!
  5. Although a much more minor key, there's a similar situation with Captain America's Weird Tales 74 - https://www.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=0+793+794+791+792+1893+1577+2088&Ntk=SI_Titles-Desc&Nty=1&Ntt=Weird+Tales+%2374&limitTo=all&ic=homepage-search-A-K-071316 Generally they do a decent job at spacing these books out, but apparently not in Q1 2020.
  6. I learned about the new sales tax the hard way...after a $6K book purchase. Oofta.
  7. Beautiful books Roger! That Action Comics 242 is a gem!
  8. Please see scans below. Asking X shipped (payment by check, money order, or PayPal) via USPS Priority registered. 2nd highest graded. No returns. Kudos here: Thank you!
  9. When it was ~$5K I have serious thought to putting in a bid. I didn't need it, but the coolness of the whole thing was definitely attractive. I suspect we'll see it listed at 2-3x price within a few months...
  10. Here's a look at the one of a kind Manhunt #12 - https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=857054 Definitely a healthy sale price.
  11. I know it's surprising, but the value probably isn't drastically greater than that of the book by itself. This specific issue isn't overly rare or in high-demand. So assuming it's in very fine condition, say an 8.0, I suspect the value as of today--even with all of the signatures--is around $5K. With signatures it's all about the market. As TSP noted, many collectors don't seek out signed books. I realize this seems counter intuitive. Regardless of value it's definitely a nice piece of history.
  12. Are you arguing that books on HA do better than CC/CL? Maybe, I have no idea. It likely has much more to do with timing than anything. It's a bad time of the year for larger books, say in excess of $5K. It's holiday time.
  13. Oofta, some crazy low hammer prices. I'm assuming there's a lot of upset sellers out there.
  14. Sorry! I saw it sitting at $18K ($18.2K?) for quite sometime and remembered thinking it was a bargain. Frankly even $27.5K isn't terrible in this market given it's 2017 hammer price.
  15. This one has been quite exciting! https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=852626 $27,500 final bid. IMO the best page out of Action Comics #1.
  16. Fast payment and great communication! A+
  17. Oh nice! Thank you! This certainly isn't the first time this feedback has been shared, it's pretty much the norm across most sites and sellers now. I suspect some of it is genuinely unintentional...sometimes scanner's standard settings hype colors. But in a handful of cases it's very clear filters and/or Photoshop are being used to manipulate the colors drastically.
