  1. That’s it for this little show. I love Timelys; the only reason I’m offering them is my number of incompletes is a little high for my liking, as I won’t be happy if I don’t chase marriages for all of them. So there needs to be fewer to chase. I’ll consider partial trade for a center wrap for a Cap 17 and a USA 13, and the two center wraps of a Cap 38. Also, I’m open to acquiring the covers for All-Select 7 if someone has them and would rather go that route, but I much suspect anyone with those covers would just as much or more want to acquire my interior, so I put it up. Thanks everyone for looking!
  2. SOLD at 20% OFF! All Winners Comics #11 (Winter 1943-1944) incomplete, missing pages 7-10 of a Sub-Mariner story. Single-leaf page adjacent to missing wrap is loose. Great color and gloss on a classic Schomburg cover. Hitler appearance inside; debut of Atlas Globe on cover. Cap, Torch, Subby, Whizzer, Destroyer stories. 57 total on census. $1,100
  3. All Select Comics #7 (Spring 1945) coverless complete copy of a very tough book. 28 total on census. Cap, Torch, Whizzer stories. $700
  4. SOLD at 20% OFF! Sub-Mariner Comics #26 (June 1948) missing a single page; effects Blonde Phantom story. Namora cover and appearance. 50 total on census. I’d put the apparent/qualified grade in the 3.0-4.0 GVG to VG range. $400
  5. SOLD Avis PM! Human Torch #36 (April 1954) coverless and missing the centerfold. Effects beginning of Sub-Mariner story. 48 total on the census. (WAS $75) NOW $50
  6. The Books: The boards are seeing all kinds of big books of late, but one category missing this week is superhero Timelys, so let’s do four entry-level big boy books. 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: $8 U.S. priority legal flat rate envelope or $15 if the stack requires a medium priority box. Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape, on your dime. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  7. And with that, we are closed! Thank you all; everyone should be PM'ed now. @nines I'll send an updated one in the same PM chain. Thanks again everyone!
  8. Not at all! Thank you Russ! But three of the quotes above didn’t quote — let me know what those last three that you wanted were, please.
  9. OK, soft close as I begin to compile and send PM's to takers with their settle-up tallies. Thanks again to everyone for their patience as this long thread unfolded slowly. Last-minute takes/PM's welcome as I sit here and organize/double-check and type etc.

  13. Calling all Tightwads! This is your moment to shine! Can you, in the words of Dennis the Menace, toss nickels around like manhole covers? Pinch a penny with your crab claw, like Dennis’ dad told him you could do? Then this is for you! Its also for everyone who has been patient with this month-long thread; thank you all! Apologies for the slow roll as life has been crazy, but let’s bring it to a close: I’ll close tomorrow a.m. and PM all takers then, over morning coffee, about squaring up and getting books out. But, from now until close… Take 35% off Anything Left!!!!

  15. Ok, that’s it there is no more to post for this thread, so take your takes, PM your offers and we’ll close up and get PM’s to all our patient takers (thank you!) by somewhere over the weekend. I hope it’s been fun for everyone!
  16. Conan the King #55 final issue (see? It says so right on the cover.) I think I’m obligated to refer to this as “low print, HTF, last issue, cgc it!” If I were to offer it on eBay…. But I doubt any of that would be true…except of course the last issue part…it says so right on the cover…..$5
