  1. Claudio, while it's not terrifying stuff, I think the story arc from Fear #19 to Man-Thing #1 is pretty cool. A construction company inadvertently opens up the nexus of all realities and a band of demons pours through -- as do cavemen, barbarian warriors, WWII-era soldiers and Howard the Duck. Master of Kung-fu #19 is also kind of surreal, when Shang-chi meets the Man-Thing. Considering the horror films of the era, I'm surprised I can't think of a marvel story that revolves around possession in that era. Anybody?
  2. He was definitely in the middle of the barroom brawl when it went down.
  3. I have December denial! My birthday is this month.
  4. Yes. Thanks for parsing further! I just scratched the surface (5 million items into 18 years). Going further as you did, you make the point even better -- at a book a minute, it's going to take the Flash for a speed upgrade.
  5. 5 million in 18 years is approximately one every two minutes. I don't think they can up their speed game much without hiring Barry Allen!
  6. MM, I picked it up and tried it, and I do see everything you pointed out, mostly, but it wasn't enough for me to start pulling a new book again. I appreciate it, and plot-wise it's fun enough, but what I could not get past was/is that most every character has the same dialogue. There is almost no distinction among the personalities; everyone talks like a flippant bad@ss, sort of like a cross between the personalities of Spidey and wolverine -- even the Wasp! This guy seems ok at conceiving storylines but his characters don't seem fleshed out. Is the dialogue consistent with other issues, or is my sample (one extra-length issue) too small? Either way, thanks for getting me to look at what's going on in a current Marvel book. At least Tony Stark was Iron Man and Cap wasn't a Nazi.
  7. I'm waiting for someone to invent cold-pressing! We need the extra-virgin trend to hit this hobby!
  8. Man with no future to gal making plans for her future
  9. What a thread! I know it's two different buyers, but those last 2 books have me asking myself when was the last time anyone got that much book on the boards for $410???
  10. Ok, I finally pulled the trigger. I walked into one of my reg'lar haunt LCS's and this had just come in. GVG but the price was right and the right edge is there so I grabbed it.
  11. Finally knocked this one off the list; so many copies have that right edge of the issue number box, or even part of the numeral, cut off.
  12. A couple Golden Age books are still on their way in the mail, but these two came out of this week's visits to a couple different LCS's.
