  8. via PM! Weird Tales April 1924 goes to Comcav! Thank YOU, old friend! Pleasure to do business with you again, as well.
  9. SOLD via PM! Weird Tales April, 1924 — just turned 100 years old! Classic Houdini seance cover, with stories by H.P. Lovecraft and Harry Houdini (most likely ghostwritten for his byline). Bookery’s Guide to Pulps lists as scarce to rare, but there’s a few sales in Heritage archives. A copy described as Good+ sold there in April for $1,800. That one had a detached cover and tape residue on the cover, as well as a similar lower left corner as mine. This copy is also in the lower grade ranges but cover is attached, and the spine is nice. There is a tear in the front cover (see pix) and a similar lower left corner flaw (chew?). I think it presents more nicely and has less general wear to its appearance (compare pix) but page edges are slightly chippy. The edges do flake a bit, but it is readable with care and otherwise supple to handle — an amazing centenarian! $2,000 shipped within U.S.

  11. Presents nicely for what it is graded at, but I do not see the grade going up as the list of technical flaws is long. I’d think lower, if anything.
  12. This. That crease is long but subtle, and there’s the GA bump. And it’s a heckuva tough book to find at all.
  13. Coming soon to the new Pulps Sales Thread over in the Pulp Magazines section, fresh off its 100th birthday…
