  1. Superman #249, the first appearance of Terra-Man, with a top-shelf Neal Adams cover. Unfortunately, there's top-shelf rust stains on the back cover too, and the lower centerfold staple is loose, so call it VG and nab it for $6.
  2. Superman #276, where he meets...ahem..."Captain Thunder"...this is as close to a Marvel-style slugfest as 70's DC gets. VG/F (upper left chip kills it) $5
  3. Okay, here we go....sorry I'm late but when you see this stuff you'll see I had to stop and read a lot. This is a departure from the scarce stuff of the past two nights. Mostly cheap fun, so stuff your pockets with $5's and $10's like you're headed to a strip club in a hyperinflationary environment and prepare to make a stack...
  4. So far, yep! There's a whole box of Warren/Kitchen Sink Spirit, and the Warren #1 is signed by Gogos. That and the Heavy Metal #1 sold me; lots of cool mags and GN's, about 350 very esoteric items. It's a read and release party! No doubt some will bleed into future sales threads after I have enjoyed them; its that sort of stuff. Fun to enjoy then share!
  5. Okay, boardies that's it for tonight but there's at least a third to go....still coming are bronze Supes/Actions of note, 2nd Zatanna, a SA Blackhawk with the JLA, and another half dozen gold and silver books you don't see every day, all affordable. And another incomplete but hard to find freebie. I'm open to PM's and am reasonable to work with. Much of what I have posted thus far is tough stuff that doesn't come up all that often. Make offers as you're not likely to stumble across this stuff (most of it) in most shops. Thanks for looking, and thanks to those who have purchased! More to come, but we will be wrapping up ASAP as I have purchased a collection of esoteric stuff today and have two more small Gold/Silver collections to see in the next couple weeks. (If I swallow them both, I will probably offer some portions here as I don't expect to be able to keep it all.)
  6. I will be pulling unusual goodies from these boxes for some time!
  7. From 1937, from K.K. Publishing/Western Publishing, this is vol 3 #2 of Mickey Mouse Magazine, which later became Walt Disney's Comics and Stories. Looks for all the world like a Fine from the front cover but I will call it VG + due to the centerfold being detached at the bottom of its three staples. Also, the crossword is lightly filled in with pencil, and the staple exteriors show slight rust (staples still look good inside; see centerfold pic). Classic Big, Bad Wolf Halloween cover. (Slightly taller than a Bronze Age Marvel mag, FYI. Yes, they do get slabbed.) To find a nicer copy, you're heading to Heritage and paying more, as I found to price it. (WAS $125) NOW $90 SOLD!
  8. Dell Comics, 1946...Our Gang #24, Walt Kelly cover and interior, and Carl Barks interior story as well. VG range, issues readily apparent in pix. Racist caricatures abound in this one....but, but..."Dell Comics are good comics." (And they have never borne the comics code stamp, didjya know?) (WAS $20) NOW $15
  9. Fawcett 1952, Strange Stories from Another World #3, VG with a wavy, once-long-ago texture but clean and readable. Norm Saunders photo cover. (WAS $40) NOW $30 SOLD!
  10. It's incomplete, with a torn page and detached cover, but it's New Romances #6 from Standard Comics, and you are not going to just waltz into your Podunk LCS and pluck one from the bins. Barbara Bel Geddes and Richard Basehart photo cover. Free to anyone who has purchased in this thread or the next purchaser, whoever claims it first. Probably scarcer than the Sugar and Spike #6 I gave way last night. (Maybe, maybe not...)
  11. Okay, time for a saucy Archie...#158 at 3.0 with slight spine roll and two center wraps detached but clean and flat. Great contents with an infamous Archie in drag story and a beach ball in the bum story with a case of mistaken identity (It's not Betty, and her boyfriend looks like he might last a few rounds with Big Moose...) $5 SOLD!
  12. Okay, back in a few with Norm Saunders PCH, a Walt Kelly/Carl Barks one-two punch, Archie by request, and we will close the night with a very special Mickey Mouse book from 1937.... Just need to shoot them...
  13. Okay, moving to the Silver Age for the Super Comics (1964) reprint of Spy Cases #26, Danger #15. This one is approaching Fine, about 5.5. Awesome babes and commies! (WAS $20) NOW $10
