  1. Green monster, damsel in yellow, Feldstein to green monster, damsel in yellow, Whitman
  2. Steel Sterling and friends to Steel Sterling and different friends
  3. Silver Surfer 19? Of course, the series ended on #18 but I'm wondering if there's any apocrypha out there about the unpublished #19? Is it sitting in a file somewhere; are the unpublished pages dispersed out there, etc? The ending of #18 (below) indicates a new direction in which the Surfer was to be a Namor-type rather than a gentle soul. I've always wondered about where this was to go, even if it was to be for an issue or two. Anyone ever hear or read anything on this?
  4. So how much do you think all that tape brings it down?
  5. And here's the back; unnecessary tape on two sides. Go figure.
  6. PGM Silver Surfer #1 Picked up a full set 1-18 from a collector's estate; everything else is solid VG up through 8.5-9.0ish, with the majority falling in 6.0-7.0 territory, but this #1 has pesky and unnecessary tape on front and back covers. Here's the front; look at letters across bottom for tape strip.
  7. I get it! I'm camping on this thread to see the trade offers, and what if anything gets you to pull the trigger on a trade deal. Cheers, and again, welcome to the boards, Pablo!
  8. Wild find in the wild So I picked this up in a $2 bin, simply thinking I'm getting a cool Archie cover (waterskiing with B&V) with a poster insert that actually intact. Then I get home and open to page 1: Is that Dan DeCarlo in green on the lower left?
  9. Didn't you just pick this up? Anyway, congrats and GLWTS! Cool trade potential brewing in this thread
  10. I want to apologize for confusing you guys....I did not complete a set of Fox Giants; I merely acquired the final issue of the run. That said, I think it's one of the toughest. There's one on the registry, and it's not in the Gerber Photo-Journal. And if you Fox guys haven't seen it before, I KNOW it's tough!
  11. Thank you, Chadwick! Much-appreciated. Backatcha from what I see on these boards. I love how it's a community of collectors in it for the long haul.
  12. This hardly follows up a Hulk 5, but the two Marvels were plucked from a dollar box of one those LCS's that's all about new comics and game-playing. And the Atom Ant ... I'm sucker for any of those Gold Key silver one-shots.
  13. Someone say Swamp Thing? Just picked these up from a collector's estate. Near-full short box, about 150 books, all swamp thing second run (near complete, obviously) from 1-152 including most of the keys, if I'm not mistaken: 1, 20, 21, 25, 37, 50, annual HOS92 homage cover. Couldn't leave them there even though I've read it already!
  14. Is it just me? I have always found BB to look creepy on this cover
  15. He was probably at my house every other Friday night for my dad's poker game. I knew he looked familiar!
  16. Oh, I'm sorry...thanks but I did not finish. I meant this was the last issue of the Fox Giants run. I think they are pretty uncommon. There's only 1 on the registry. Curiously, the contents are slightly different from those listed in GCD. But it does have an issue of Pedro, and the GGA in the Chiquita story appears top-notch at first glance. Just settled kids; will check the book out shortly.
  17. Happy to land the last of the Fox Giants today
  18. Pretty happy to land this today....last of the Fox Giants...there's only 1 on the registry
