I think I will look to complete the run and give it a read.
And in regard to #7 vs #1, I think they are currently comparable in price. Steppenwolf is getting a little heat due to being the main villain in the Justice League movie, so #7 will see a spike for the time being.
I think #1, over time, will still hold a higher premium. #1 certainly has a few first appearances, but still only has Darkseid's third cameo. If this was his first cameo or first full appearance, I think this book would be an even bigger key.

Picked up a few books at my LCS this week. None of them are exactly high-grade, but still nice copies that present well in mylar. New Gods #2, #3, and #7 -- nice to have some Kirby Fourth World stuff added to my collection! Swamp Thing #7 -- great cover..first Swamp Thing and Batman interaction. Got them all at a great price.
Edit: Just picked up a very nice copy Superman 233, New Gods #1 in VF condition, and Worlds Finest #199 (low grade) (3rd race between Superman and the Flash):

I picked this cover up on ebay the other night: The Dell'Otto euro Wolverine cover. Grabbed this French version. Such an awesome cover:

This isn't a spoiler -- For anyone reading Batman..I just read Batman 13, and there were a few panels that reminded me of the big dinner from Dinner for Schmucks..if you've seen this movie, and read this issue...I think you'll know exactly what I am talking about
Not a bad arc. Janin's art was excellent.

Thanks. I've been lucking out there lately. I've scored much of the AH Wonder Woman run there (all cover price). I've never seen a copy of Batman 635 in back issue bins at any shop I've stepped foot in..then I found 2 NM copies at this same shop for $3.25 each a few weeks ago. Also found Batman 666 for the same price today in addition to my AH finds. I think they use overtstreet guide as opposed to eBay to price back issues. I think it's easier for these kind of books to be bought in stealth mode vs well known keys.

Congrats on the purchase! With Christmas around the corner, I just put this on my list.
I've recently come to the conclusion that a Dell Otto illustrated Spider Man Anything is my favorite Spider Man Anything
Fixed it for you

So I got one of my orders today, the BW & Color. Should be getting my 2 secret variant orders on Wednesday/Thursday. The comics both came in the poly bags everyone was talking about. Color looks like a solid 9.8 but the B&W one might have some minor ticks. I am pretty new to grading so not sure if there's a major issue with it or not, but to be honest, the overall quality looks pretty good. They wraped the comics in a Priority Mail envelope from USPS within a common comic mailer, so as far as I can tell, they did a really good job with the shipping of it.
Here are some photos.
Sorry for the poor lighting/camera.
Awesome! I can't wait for my B&W cover..hopefully without spine ticks. This cover really grew on me. I love Dell Otto (my favorite comic book artist), and when this was revealed, I thought it looked good but wasn't over the top crazy about it. That has certainly changed .
Has anyone ordered the Clayton Crain variant? I pre-ordered the color version from comicxposure, and not sure which one I like more. Either way, I am excited to have both in my collection soon.

Picked up a lower grade copy of Silver Surfer #4. My first copy, and for $80, I wasn’t leaving it behind:
