  1. I know it's not really relevant to anything, but doesn't Daredevil look a tosser out there in the jungle in that suit. Then again, it might be colder than it looks, as Ka-Zar has got his woolly socks on.
  2. I had a bloody stat attack when I sawded it Albert. What was your excuse? Out walking the whippet?
  3. That's a lovely looking copy. I don't know how CGC treat the natural rippling at the back there near the staples, but I would put this at a 9.0 if I were listing it on the bay. The apparent colour breaking along the printed line of the spine is the only detractor on the front that I can see.
  4. Nice spot. I've gathered a lot of examples of that later 9d Miller stamp type - it's usually found on Harveys and Charltons though, Albert. IWs usually have the small 6d one: There's a shilling version too:
  5. I don't think they're there - you get a feel for it don't you, and my gut is telling me they won't appear. I'm not going to spend too much time looking therefore - July 71 it is for me, until your ND work says otherwise Rich.
  6. OK, I'll have a scout about All of you - DC had T&P stamps all the way up to 1979, with the UKPVs starting from Feb 1978. Who are we saying was handling the distribution for both types?
  7. Is it a Frank Zappa tribute band, with the 'zappa' representing the zap of Electro's electricity blasts that Ross never drew? Admit it Reggie, I'm close.
  8. If it's out there, we'll find it Albert. We will look for it, we will find it, and we subject it to critical analysis. Yes, it takes account of the overlap months - always difficult to plot those staggered UKPV months Is that the latest example you have seen - November 71? I love a childhood holiday comic story
  9. Thanks again Frisco! Boys, Frisco is another old pence appreciator - give him a warm welcome https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/29590-pre-hero-marvels/?do=findComment&comment=11784276
  10. We're motoring today boys! I've got to go out now (sassenfassenrassen) but I expect all the mysteries to be solved by the time I return, so I can put them all in a table that we'll all forget about for six months then return to once we've forgotten it all again....
  11. Nobody likes a smartarse Albert Jesting aside, if a Nick 13 were to show up with a T&P stamp, completely against the run of expectations and extant examples, would we believe it was either; a) A legitimately imported copy or b) A copy that was lumped in after the event with a later legitimate shipment Did that make sense?
  12. Followed by the note on the subsequent one that said "Sorry Dennis, our distribution manager didn't get the message about Nick #13, hence that one copy that....."
  13. Oh. Right. But then....dealers charging more for ND is also.....indicative....of.... [shuffles towards door] [sound of door closing] Two! Two indications of probable ND status, Ah, ha, ha, ha, hah!
  14. Not at all. I know I get on everyone's nerves with the martialling sometimes, which can come across as me trying to have the last word, but I'm trying to keep track of what can be proven, and what is only speculation. I think that is important. No, that was in the 'speculation' part of my post. But all the evidence points to it, it seems...
  15. Anecdotal evidence maybe. You can't prove a negative, or something like that
  16. It was the 'p's I was pointing out - all the surrounding copies are pence, only #10 had no pee
  17. I'm going by cover date Rich, on that table, which is the only thing we can be factual about date-wise due to shipping timings and all that. The stamped copies I've seen are cover dated July or thereabouts.
  18. I know, I've worked with a lot of them too. Very friendly. It's the usual drill, applicable to most races, I find - a small group make the noise that creates the stereotype, while the majority get on with their lives, and everyone, and couldn't give a hoot(ennanny) about..
