  1. Sooper! I didn't know. Well done How did you do it - there wasn't a leaderboard to manipulate back then was there?
  2. Stewards enquiry, not another turd! Is it April Fools Day or something! Oh, hang on. It is isn't it. Or was. A respectable 145 points for jslivergannet I see - Greggy must have RSI by now. Can you still be a forumite of the year if you have RSI?
  3. I missed that in all the excitement. My kind of humour
  4. Indeed. There's still lots to keep your interest if you look hard enough, but it feels a little solitary at times for me and I do wish I could jump back 20 or 30 years to when comics really were in their heyday and discoveries 'mattered'. Still, just back from a long walk in the rain and the first thing I see on ebay is something I've been after for years! So the hobby can still excite
  5. For me it's the reverse. The redesign could have been managed better, sure, but the positive software features far outweigh the negatives once you get used to them. The shame for me is I got back into comics just as this place was slowing down. The people interested in the things I am largely all seem to have moved on based on old posts and threads that I've found. Maybe we've just come to the end of a cycle - there's not much left to say on most things comic related now. Late to the party, alas!
  6. Interesting supposition there Mr DC, I've not yet had the pleasure of that film. My first thought was "Island of Terror", the Cushing masterpiece. Very similar creepies....
  7. There's a story out there, I'm sure. Write to old cranky pants jim. Sure he'll spill the beans.
  8. Ta. ASM #137, 179 and a MTU #2. All Andru's
  9. Monty Python, Frug-A-Go-Go, Go kiss a grenade. It's difficult to know where to start with this one Harry! What is it with the massive monitors then? Is it a massive telly in a shop window? Who's filming it? Shouldn't it be in black and white? And if he has to die, why does it have to be with Honor Blackman? Is it an Avengers thing (heh heh)? As for Bucky, I think he's just practising his Kung Fu Fighting Hi-Yah! Never liked Bucky. He sucky (if we're doing Chinese). I like the comic of course, as I'm a massive Tit Man Next!
  10. Is that kiss as in "one more word Lazyboy and I'll give you a Glasgow kiss"?
  11. Great thread Here's what's left of a one time 8,000 book Spider-Man collection (sorry about the picture quality)
  12. Could it be that the 'stubby split handle' is supposed to replicate the 'legs' of a tooth? Either that or the designer was a Leonard Bernstein fan? The Jet's are gonna have their way....to-niiight!
  13. OK, here we go. A Birthday Present for @creaturefan95 (with his cool new avatar) and an Easter treat for lovers of millerpenceorama everywhere! UNUSUAL TALES If my research is correct, there should be 17 pence priced Unusual Tales from Lenny Miller, ranging from issue #26 through to #42: I have found 14 so far: Here are the eleven I own: Nice Ditko hands! ....where indeed... Ledge...? Sammy got Ditko hands He might be only 3 inches tall, but he aint going down without a fight! Nice suit. Blancmange attacks! I told her not to have the fish. 9d printed price....9d stamp. Just making sure....
  14. Heh heh. Rather than try and guess your age, I'll see if I can dig a few Unusual Tales out....be back soon....
