1st mail in submission questions
Fred Chamberlain replied to Fred Chamberlain's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
I went with the usps $57 option. That allows for insurance. -
Hey all, I'm about to send off my books to CGC and have a few questions: 1) I have a 10% discount with the membership tier that I selected, but when I went ahead and paid for it, I didn't see any discount applied. I paid $31.45 per book, for the economy fast track and total was $314.50 at check out. Did I miss something? 2) I have a $150 credit for submissions, due to the membership tier I selected. I was told by an acquiantence that I should not this on the submission form, writing it out, by hand. He said that the company is good at working with this. Any thoughts and feedback is appreciuated. Fred

Comunication problem with Cadence Comic Art
Fred Chamberlain replied to Xouman's topic in Original Comic Art
Unless he is going to a con, going to a hospital, has other things going on, etc. A week may seem lengthy, but I wouldn't start wondering and get concerned, before a month. -
Eddy Barrows is plugging away on his NYCC 2019 commission list for predone pieces. $500 Full figure copic option only (backgrounds are done at Eddy’s discretion). Spaces are limited and we tend to fill up fast, so message us At superpalsart@gmail.com with your character request, to get on his list! Batman was recently finished and DD is on the drawing board, with a way to go....

Is it ever OK to 'alter' your original art?
Fred Chamberlain replied to wincen's topic in Original Comic Art
Scot is an underappreciated artist. Not entirely sure why. It may have something to do with the fact that he is largely isolated and living in Vermont, with no internet presence.... his Spider-Man work still melts my brain. -

I've seen that Scot has had this up on ebay for quite a while. A very nice piece and very well priced. That said, my take on the image is that that it isn't white-out, but use of a metalic pen... and it looks significantly less visible, with the reflection of the light. -

Leave it. It is a part of the history and origin of the piece.
