I have a "newbie" question, despite being a collector for over 45 years. I just signed up for the cgc elite membership, with the intent of going through some of my silver age keys and slabbing them. First up will be an Amazing Spider-Man #1, in vg/vg+. While I've heard about pressing for years.... how does one determine what books are in need of pressing? What factors are considered? What can I expect to pay for that service? Who do you send books to for pressing? Thanks, in advance, for any responses!

To be fair, I've gone out of my way to go into Jersey, as well.

I've had it happen a small number of times and it's always a bit nerve-wracking. The last two times, occurred simultaneously. One of the pieces went on a journey to the far southeastern corner of the United Styates, before ending up back in the Great Lakes area that it was destined for.
