  1. I'd enjoy hearing Brian Peck interviewed. that guy has some knowledge!
  2. Eddy continues to work on his first Detective Comics storyline and the scans I've seen are stunning. We are 2 months out from publication and the cover art will be available at Motor City Comics Con in 3 weeks. Interior pages will likely be in hand and posted within the next few months as well.
  3. Just a quick head's up. We've updated Eddy's original art sales page with nearly 100 pages from Nightwing, Teen Titans, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Earth 2, Constantine and more and have multiple splashes and covers available for purchase! We will be posting more, but to whet your appetites until then.... take a look! Eddy's Detective Comics covers are coming..... http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=109737
  4. Have begun a very lengthy process of adding more art to Eddy's CAF page. He sent me back from C2E2 with tons. DC finally announced that he will be taking over artwork on Detective Comics as of June, so that is getting around. I have original art from the first 2 Detective issues, but can't sell them until they are published.
  5. Thanks Doc! Enjoy the art! Tons more coming! I just need to get my scanner unpacked and set up, after having moved.
  6. Hah! Thanks for a smooth and fun transaction as well as for the shout out! I should be getting more pages from Eddy, when I see him in Chicago next month!
  7. Congrats! This was a loved childhood issue and that final page stands out in its impact!
  8. I've already sold a few pages to forum members and looking forward to putting this artwork in more collections. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1282941
  9. I am selling artwork with my friend, Eddy Barrows (DC artist on Nightwing, JLA, E2, Superman, Teen Titans, Martian Manhunter and more). I have been posting his original pages up at caf and they can be found here: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=109737 More to come as he ships additional art from Brazil to me. Take a look, since I've marked the pieces very reasonably. Fred
  10. I saw my first framed piece of comic art with a double matting and this has been my automatic go-to as far as prized pieces. The extra, character-themed color makes the pieces pop and adds to the fun of the display. That said, I bought a bunch of frames from Frame-It-Again-Sam some years back and use these to display as well. This piece was acquired last year, after Lee reached out to me, knowing my years long interest in buying it from him. He's a good man and a good artist. This piece, from Fall of the Kingpin, hangs in my counseling office (along with the 3 posted above). The theme of forgiveness is a powerful one and the image that Lee created to drive this point home is perfect for many of the clients that I see.
  11. I dig this place, but never posted enough to have it become a habitual stop in for me. I'm hoping that changes. Here are a few of my favorite framed pieces. I've been fortunate in what I've been able to gather. Up now is a page from my favorite childhood Hulk comic (227), Daredevil #23 and Amazing Spidey #169...
  12. ... and I think you are entitled to do that after years of discovering for yourself what have been both the good and bad experiences. Entitled to do what... lose my mind?
  13. Honestly, there are so many different personalities out there and so many personal guideline, that it really does relay largely on the individual. The only hard fast rule that I stick to, after losing my mind and a few pieces over the years.... come up with a high dollar amount that you are willing to pay and stick to it. That way, you will avoid missing out on a piece you love and will also be ok if you miss out and have no regrets.
