Zoinks!  I had no idea Wonder Bread He-man was pulling this much cheddar.

And I thought mine was not in the greatest of shape.

Is that Wonder Bread oozing from his neck??

  2. As a buyer, I would like to know if the seller does not have the book in hand. Maybe instead of a hard rule that disallows the sale of something not in ones possession but maybe an indication like "consignment" someplace in the listing description or title?

Purchasing from certain vendors comes with knowing that they have personally inspected/graded the book. Over time folks who purchase here on the boards (or elsewhere for that matter) start to understand the nuances of each person giving a grade to the book.

I get that, totally. I go back and forth. Several times I've sold off most of my modern stuff so I can pursue more vintage. But then I start seeing some new stuff that is too cool to turn away from, and suddenly I'm buying up new toys again. It's a vicious cycle. The Haslab was a chunk of change, and I wasn't super excited about it, but knowing how these things go, I thought it best to go ahead and grab it now. These Haslab things tend to explode in price on the secondary market, so I thought it better to spend the $250 now and not regret missing out later. Even if it's just so I can sell it.

That was exactly the thought process I had myself. I kept thinking if I even kind of want it I should grab it now because finding one (or any of the loose figures) will set me back big bucks in the future. Personally, I am saving for a cobra ninja viper (with swords) so I figure it was just best to stay the course. The choices us toy collectors face :)

I hardly even see aquarium in doctors offices anymore, yet my dentist is holding on firm.

I think mostly gold fish, but as I've never had goldfish as a pet, I didnt know they got that big.

Is it more about the aquarium or the fish? Or just both? :x

I think this would be like asking a comic collector if it is it more about completing the run or having the key issues from it. Everybody is different so I think the answer is all of the above :)

I was on the fence too. I’m trying to only do vintage nowadays, but the stand and effects are way cool. I think the extra figs sold me. I’m excited about the night force ripcord and Mickey Mouse commander. Too bad they couldn’t extend it for the flight crew.

I took the other path. $250 more for older MOC goodness (doesn't go as far as it used to though so I think I need to keep saving lol).

Looks like the Sky Striker is going to squeak in, with nearly 10 hours left and only 76 backers needed. If it's going to fund I really wish a sudden avalanche of backers would emerge so we could get those tiers unlocked, but I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the five it's going to come with.

I am still on the fence ..... I really like it but to be honest I really like the stretch goal stuff more (Scarlet in Flight suit & Ripcord).

Looks like it has officially broke the 10k that is needed and at this pace maybe the 13k is reachable?

IMHO a business model that makes it easier on a seller to list rather than a buyer to find and purchase is business model that is flawed!

Ideally of course both would be simple, easy and fast.

I guess we could argue that one either way :)

I think we agree though. As i said in my post there has to be a balance that is struck ... maybe we already have that even if it does not meet all of our individual needs 100% :)

We had a burger place in town for a year or so that made GREAT burgers!  They did not serve french fries .... only potato chips.

The owner HATED when people asked why they didn't have / serve french fries.  He hated it even more when people would bring their own French Fries in with them to eat.

They are no longer in business.
