I had the proper drivers for the HP 8300. However, every few scans, either the software would lock up, or the scanner would stop scanning about 1/2 way through. I got VueScan and have never had a problem since.

Buy VueScan and it will solve most of your driver related problems.

Overstreet only grades up to 9.2.

Looks like this one experienced some SCS. Ouch! Yeah! Not best pleased with the way CGC have handled this one, is there anything I can do about it? I'm going to guess that the comic easily moves back and forth in the case? If so, you might want to call CGC and tell them that the book is moving around in the case and it arrived damaged. They probably won't do anything, but it's worth a try. The only way to fix it is to crack it out of the case, have it pressed and then re-submitted, but this will of course cost more money.

Woo hoo! The Warlock is probably a 9.2 to 9.4 as-is, and could possibly press to a 9.6 (very outside chance at a 9.8). The Uncanny X-Men 221, X-Files 1 and X-Men 4 are probably 9.6 to 9.6 as-is! Total cost? Less than $10.

Picked these up at a flea market recently! They were all about $1 to $3 each! Most of them are in 9.4 to 9.8 condition. Score!

In other words, you want a large block of names to C&P into your eBay account. *sigh* -slym You got it.

I just picked this up on eBay recently. I think I got lucky with this one. The seller had it as a Buy It Now for a very decent price! I'm glad I got up early that morning and got it before too many others saw it!

My latest eBay haul...

Saw it today in IMAX 3d. The 3d was the best I have seen in a while! You really get the sense of flying/falling when Spidey is swinging between buildings. The story was OK to good. However, it seemed like they tried to mash three movies into one. There was the Electro movie, the Green Goblin / Hobgoblin movie (which was he?) and the preview for the Rhino movie. As a result, it felt like there were three endings to the movie. Also, the mid-credits scene was completely out of place.... and there was no after-credits scene. I would give it a B-. And, yes, I will get it on Blu-Ray 3d.

Pressing will do nothing to fix this problem. Once the color is broken, it's broken, unless you color touch it. However, that would be considered restoration, which most people frown upon.

No, they don't. I have re-bagged a few books that I bought at cons that had stickers on the bags and sometimes the stickers do leave marks on the books inside. You might only be able to see the mark if you hold the book at a certain angle or in a certain light. It also probably depends on the thickness of the bag and how tightly the books were packed in a box, and for how long, etc, etc, but it can happen.
