I would have less of an issue with it if mine was already sold, but both listings are currently active. I think it detracts from both listings and makes it seem like we're working together.

Hey All, I don't sell a lot on eBay, but when I do I take the time to write a detailed item description that I think helps distinguish my items from similar listings. I include a bit of salesmanship to highlight positive aspects, interesting history of the book, etc. Recently, I listed a higher-valued book to me ($350), and a few days later another seller listed one in the same grade. The problem is that he literally copy/pasted my item description into his listing! So my questions are: Do you see description plagiarism as a common issue you encounter? Do others consider this to be poor form as I do? And lastly, do you think I should call him out on it?

Thanks, I'm surprised I was able to pick one up. I think it was only recently graded and added to the census.

It's now relisted at $2500 OBO. Before the "winning" bidder jumped in the price was at $660 with an $850 proxy. So the "winner" helped drive up the price about a grand. Seller also has a couple negative feedbacks about overgrading, which I think also applies to this book. It's advertised as NM+ but you can see come color-breaking spine stresses and I'd think it's closer to VF. Seems sketchy to me...

I also blocked this user just a few weeks ago, the first one I've ever had to. He purchased a slabbed book BIN, then after I shipped he messaged to ask to cancel. I declined since it was already at the post office and I don't accept returns since I'm just an individual selling occasionally. We went back and forth several times with him asking for concessions before he finally gave up. Surprisingly, after a few days he still left positive feedback.

I was always going to see this movie so have deliberately been avoiding lots of information about it so I can see it fresh and without a lot of buildup. That said, early reviews being so favorable really has me riding high on the hype train. I'm casting off my cautious optimism and turning full-fledged fanboy.
