  2. Why would they reject it? I did read that Kansas City was all number 1s. Are you talking about the MC 1 or the MMC 46?

  4. I need to get a second job. Did you know that if you stack CGC boxes side by side and throw a comforter on them they work just like a bed? Place inside a climate controlled storage unit and voilà! More money for comics that you were, foolishly, spending on a house! Chicken wire ceiling means you can hang more comics from clothes pin to get that true GA experience.
  5. Can you please add Planet Comics #72 (Superior Comics) to the Planet Comics set? Serial number 2089784003, for reference. This poor comic has no place to call home. Thanks! Unfortunately, this book cannot be added to the current Planet Comics set. The current set is for Fiction House books only. Superior Comics, which is a Canadian Version, published issues 71-73 and they differ slightly, speciifcally in the advertisements. Against your wishes, this book will remain homeless!

  9. I agree with this. Sent in a batch of 50 books with most hitting what I thought but there were a few moderns that received grades like a 6 and a 7.5. According to CGC there are stains on both. Grader notes say book length stain on the one that graded a 6. I find it hard to believe I missed a book length stain on a modern but.... I'll break it out of the case and see if I can find it once it arrives in a week or so. Can't win them all.
  10. I've always chased runs. I've completed Daredevil and ASM a couple of times, sold them off, and now I'm only two books away from completing Daredevil again and I've completed ASM 164-current, only missing one minor key that I've been too lazy to pick up. I'm missing about 80 books from 1-163; so a long ways to go there! For the last 40 years or so, I've carted around complete runs of Groo, all of the Gladstone Duck books, Excalibur, Badger, and handful of other minor runs that nobody would care about but me. Not even sure they could go in the dollar bin. The most difficult run I completed is actually fairly short but some of the books are tough: All Select Comics #1-11. I picked up the really expensive books before they went crazy in the last year or so. I would never be able to complete it again because I just don't make enough. I'm working on a complete run of USA Comics 1-17 and i am still missing 7 books. Not sure I'll ever complete this one because #7 is a nightmare now. Just finding a copy of #8 takes massive luck. You know its tough when the best copy you can find is a 3.5 with Brittle pages. Still, love the cover and I am very happy to have it!
  11. Emerging from the grave to being put in the grave
  12. I remember seeing this in the 1980s as a little square picture in Overstreet. fell in love with it. It took me almost 35 years to get one but I finally did a few years ago. Great book!
  13. 1) Captain America 2) Spider-Man 3) Daredevil 4) Superman 5) Batman Honorable Mention to Uncle Scrooge.
  14. Uncle Scrooge #179 is another one of the "rare" 1980s 3 pack only books. Price has been all over the place for this book.
  15. I never saw Charlton anywhere except when I went to Oklahoma to visit my Grand parents. Its seems like one of the supermarkets, Safeway?, had Charlton, if memory serves.
