  1. I remember seeing this in the 1980s as a little square picture in Overstreet. fell in love with it. It took me almost 35 years to get one but I finally did a few years ago. Great book!
  2. 1) Captain America 2) Spider-Man 3) Daredevil 4) Superman 5) Batman Honorable Mention to Uncle Scrooge.
  3. Uncle Scrooge #179 is another one of the "rare" 1980s 3 pack only books. Price has been all over the place for this book.
  4. I never saw Charlton anywhere except when I went to Oklahoma to visit my Grand parents. Its seems like one of the supermarkets, Safeway?, had Charlton, if memory serves.
  5. Ogling a blonde on a stage to ogling blonde head in a case.
  6. There's been a couple of times were I've quit Spider-Man for a few years and this was one of them. Nope, nuh-uh, not going along with it.
  7. Was W.T. Grants a Five and Dime? There was a Grants Five and Dime in the town I grew up in and it was the only place to find Gold Key. This was in the early to mid-70s. The Circle K carried mainly Marvels with a couple of DC mainstays like Superman. The TG&Y carried Star Trek even after it quit publishing. I could go in there as late as 1978 and find early issues. The College book store carried Marvels and DCs. They also had 1000s of back issues; mainly early Marvel Westerns. I've always wondered what happened to them.
  8. They both look like great copies!
  9. Triple planets to planets are breeding like rabbits!
  10. I had a meeting or I would have tried to outdraw you on that one.
  11. Whoo! New kid for the cool dad! Congratulations!
  12. I wanted to collect 9.0s and up but the prices for early Four Color Barks have largely recovered, from their lows in the early 2000s, in the high grades. I am finding that I am quite happy with 7.0 through 8.0s for the most part.
