  1. Whipped lady hanging on bucking death to Bucky being a whipped screaming lady on rotating pokey death?
  2. I would not buy a silver age or newer book with tape because I think you can always find a copy without tape, in the same grade. Golden Age, I do not like tape but some books are so scarce or otherwise held onto in permanent collections that it may be your only choice. I hate brittle comics and I am not fond of restored yet I have a USA #6 that is slightly restored and a USA #8 that is slightly brittle. To put it in perspective, the USA #8 was G.A.tor's personal copy until he finally upgraded. If he had to "settle" for that then you know its a scarce book on the market! Sometimes, if you want a particular book badly enough and if it is rare, then you have to accept what comes around or just accept that you will never have a copy. The one thing I still cannot get past is rusty staples with rust migration into the paper.
  3. Well, if it was pointing right at her it would not be "feminist".
  4. Boobs? Are those the things that the big rectangular thing with the spherical knob was pointing at?
  5. I agree with most of this except that there were major warehouse finds in the late 70s/ early 80s of ~1968 Marvels. So many that 2 dealers, Dolgoff and Koch if I remember correctly, ran ads for years in the Comic Collectors Guide advertising 9.0 and above runs of Daredevil 8 and up and so on. It is why one noted collector around here was able to assemble literally thousands of Submariner/Iron man #1. Because of this I would not be surprised if someone(s) is still sitting on hundreds of high grade copies of books that until relatively recently just were not worth the time to list. Now they know what they have and they are doling them out slowly so as to not stress the market.
  6. I suspect that in another 10 or 20 years these will be "hot" due to their GGA on the covers. Some of these covers have all the, ahem, "elements" that collectors of GGA look for.
  7. it sucks when books go missing. Here's hoping your daughter has a secret duck fetish!
  8. Dell (Wife's favorite but always in my top 3. Place depends upon day and its the only one of the 3 of which I own multiple copies).
  9. My collection is rather Timely and Dell Barks heavy but I'll put out what I gots. Timely (Favorite GA cover of all Time for me since I was 14).
