  1. Thank you for posting this. I have a policy with them and have never filed a claim so it was in the back of my paranoid mind to wonder if they would pay out or cancel right afterwards.
  2. Picked this up from Heritage. Only 13 on the census but seems rare to me! 1942 Sears Giveaway.
  3. Congratulations! My absolute favorite Betty and Veronica cover!
  4. Love this story! Congratulations on the pickups!
  5. Thank you, Richard. This makes me feel much better about the situation. I was reliving that whole face job thread and I was thinking, "Oh boy! Here we go again!"
  6. Same here. I was debating and debating now I'm really glad I missed out.
  7. I had never seen it before too. The shocker was I bought it from Mile High Comics in Denver! $45. Don't know if that is a good price but given Chuck's philosophy on rarity and price I am surprised he didn't have it priced at a few hundred dollars. They also had knock dead beautiful copies of All Select Comics #11 and Daring Comics #12. $6,000 apiece. Somewhere between FN/VF and VF+.
  8. I find it interesting that this I.W. reprint has a different cover than the Magazine Enterprises #1. Where did the original art come from if I.W. was publishing from plates purchased at "going out of business" auctions?
  9. Picked this up from Metro's Christmas sale and it arrived today? Is it just me or is Metro's shipping getting slower?
  10. From Xela back to the same Schomburg aliens? (Why do they kidnap women one time and Bucky the next?)
  11. This is a great idea, Marty. Whether you decide to sell your collection when the time comes or if they are destined for your sons, or other relatives, I am certain that your notation on each would just add to the emotional value. One of the reasons I love collecting Golden Age comics is to get the feel of life and humor of the time. Your recollection related to each book would be an amazing read.
