True...although I always took this as AW 19 AT 20 and then AW 21. Obviously a mistaken assumption on my part.

The prices on Comic Cavalcade and World's Finest have always puzzled me. Some great covers and stories in those titles!

Really need one of these. As you implied, there may be some common wisdom that escaped our notice but I do not recall anyone tying these books together so neatly. Amazing considering the info was right there. I've been collecting GA for 30 years and I don't remember this. Does anyone? I'm genuinely asking because I'd find it equally fascinating if someone points to an Overstreet Market Report, or something where this is laid out, and I did not know it.

I can honestly say that I have never seen this, exact, idea discussed before. Lots of speculation about the missing All Winners #20 but...nobody tying this together.

Not really a dump story but when I was little my dad would take me out looking for cans to recycle. This was back in the 70s and you could still find steel cans which he said were junk. We would search in fields and along roads just looking to see what we could find and take to recycle. We were walking through an empty lot and dad had just finished telling me how to easily tell a valuable aluminum can from a steel can, the secret is in the weight!, when I tried to pick up the worlds heaviest can. I bent down and grabbed the can as I was walking by and the thing would not budge. Just about took me off my feet! My dad laughed, said steel cans are not THAT heavy, came over, and bent down to pry it out of the ground. It did not budge. Frustrated, he kicked it with his steel toed boot. That knocked the can only a few feet but it certainly pissed off the hornet nest that had taken up residence inside. Those angry yellow bastards came roaring out of that can heading straight for me. I still remember my dad jumping between me and the swarm to push me away. His sacrifice worked; I did not get stung and somehow my dad only got stung once. I learned that trash is dangerous that day and that I should stay away from discarded junk. It was a lesson that stayed with me until I saw a couple of older kids burying a box in a culvert. Lying low, I snuck down after they left, and found a huge cache of hooter magazines! Funny how so many of our stories degrade into fond memories of dirty magazines.

The best, in my opinion, is All Select #1 which has already been posted so I'll go with my second, third, fourth, and fifth choices for this post. While my favorite cover is always AS #1, the order of the others changes depending on the day.

Bought raw GA from Bob and they arrived quickly, great packaging, and accurately graded.

Wow, I have never heard the name "Kinstler" before yet he did some of my favorite GA covers. How embarrassing.

Well, the seller has gone dark which makes me believe they knew there was damage but they just hoped I'd let it pass. Disappointing behavior on their part but its been a while since someone tried to pull a fast one on me through eBay. Guess it was my time?
