At the behest of my life coach and resident therapist(aka my wife) I have to sell some of my comic hoard. Tonight I will list a small batch of 1st appearance 2nd printing modern comics. Hopefully that will make up for the latest board buys and the 50% back stock sale I am hitting up later this week. My collecting nature is dyslexic.Some boardies buy and sell. I sell then buy.

Just arrived in the mail this afternoon.

The sell out of Spawn #309 was helped by the cancellation of pre-orders by many online retailers. I know I had orders in on two different sites and those orders were cancelled and refunded. Cancellations came just after the Covid-19 shutdown started. Bad thing is #309s were not offered again at cover price by online retailers for the next final order cut-off. Around new comic book Wednesday Spawn #309 B prices ranged between $18-$25 depending on the site (Mycomicship,Midtown,Ebay,etc.) Some collectors on FB are referring to it as "Spawngate" . Fortunately, Spawn is on my sub list so I got it for less than cover.

#7 is the first Dylan Brock cameo(only in a flashback). #9 is his first full appearance.

Avengers is on my sub list so I have stuck with the title during the highs and the lows. This story is definitely one of the high moments for the title and there were quite a few continuity affecting moments. Moon Knight defeating certain Avengers does require a suspension of disbelief . I'll allow it in order to see where the story is going. It's kind of hard to tell people how good the story was after the spec sites started pumping it. They won't listen or think it's hyperbole. Fact of the matter is most of the shops in my area upped their orders at the time of the FOC just because Moon Knight was on the cover(so did I) and it did sell well. Even with the heavy orders some shops sold out way before the spec sites started their reports though.

Well this CBSI dump is going to need a laxative.. Avengers #33 was heavily solicited.

I can see it being a $20-25 book but I knew $149.99 looked dubious in the sold listings. Now some $125 buy-it-now listings are popping up. I doubt if anyone takes the bait since there are so many listings under $30.

I now understand why there is concern about Avengers #33. Somethings amiss. The seller only promises a VG or better comic and his feedback isn't that great. 8 sold 5 @ $2.99, 1 @ 5.99, 1 @ 9.99 & 1 @ 49.99. Not sure if the $149.99 copy actually sold. Still one available.

No second print currently of Avengers #33 but I'm sure one will be in the works. However, they did a second printing of #34. Why #34 before #33 I'm not sure.
