Just a couple of thoughts to add:

I don't think combining the cover with a coverless would grade as high as a green 4.5.  Think what a blue label grade a book would get due to a complete spine split / detached cover, and then put it in a green label since it would be a married cover, so probably something under 2.0 in green label.

With that said, while it might only get <2.0 green if married, I suspect all Tec 27 values have increased in 2023, given some of recent Action 1 sales (such as the 0.5 and the page 1), and given the sale price of this cover only, so maybe it would still be worth 500K as a green <2.0?

Certainly as much as the 0.5 action 1 that sold.   400k ish   to 500k

I actually think a beautifully presenting coverless Action 1 with nice page quality and no stupid repro cover breaks $200K.

I would agree with the fugly  0.5 no back cover sold at Ha.com for 400k in september. That would helped the reprover  missing the centerfold  pages  sell around 170k ish which earlier in march.

From what I’ve gathered the page quality seems to hold little matter with Action 1 Supes pages. I mean as long as the story is there it sells as strong as any other page. Page 5 is the one that has the cover in a panel. Last time it sold it went for more than page 1. So no telling what it would go for now. As far as the $126K sale, I’m leaning towards that undersold. I mean the conservation may have affected it, but tough to know. The fact it was missing the centerfold definitely didn’t help. But the Supes pages being there was definitely the most important. And actual parts from the cover.

It went for cheap. But also factor in that if you noticed that no centerfold pages of Action Comics 1 have been on the gpa nor to sold since no graded.

The only centerfold that sold i know of is 38k  in 2018!!   So add and 40k to 126k

166k  is what a coverless copy should shell for.   Still sold for cheap since it has pieces of the original cover. I think buyers would like to see the page quality, stains etc. Have a that repro cover with the superman pieces wasnt the best idea.

    Complete coverless that presents well:

Tec 27 150k  cream off white

Action 1  175k   cream off white

Insane price. It appears to be a FOMO win if you ask me.

Yes… But also just looked at GPA the page sold for 25.5k in 2018.  Many books have doubled and tripled during the same timespan

Also no superman pages nor non superman pages available according to GPA

    people seem to hold them.

It's right about the estimate I have for this copy. Because it's graded by the other company, there are many concerns from bidders with regards to the resto work, could potentially grade out lower from CGC if submitted. Also, the amateur work done does not help.

I think you are right and we might see this in a CGC holder soon it the buyer was going to put it back on the market.

Perhaps with modern professional restoration and thus a higher grade. Obviously grade by CGC.

I always have a laugh when an October Marvel Comics 1 shows up. It reminds me how Metropolis Comics would go on and on about comic collectors don't distinguish between multiple printings of Golden Age comic book keys and they are all worth the same as all that's important is it's the first issue. That was until they had an October Marvel Comics 1 they were selling. They did a complete 180 and went on an on about how important and more valuable the first printing is.

They sold out the first run. Then had to add November for the second printing. So a TMNT first  and second  have to the same value?

So  you laugh every 5 to 7 years🤣

True. If it were CGC and professional work it would have went for more today.

I would be curious to see  a nice looking unrestored 0.5 to 2.0 cgc with nice pages come to auction. Especially a October copy☁️☺️
