On a 150k plus book trimming would affect more the value than the other Actions which are so rare and affordable. People just want one to own. The Action 1 is where there are more picky buyers who like to get the best of the best.

As we know the Book that started it all is Action Comics 1 the Holy Grail. The popularity is what made possible TEC27. After you flip through the cover you have the First Page! What do you Find the ORIGIN of Superman that is still the same today. The birth of the hobby. Also clark kent and Superman in Action pun intended on the next. I think the Superman Page 1 and Cover Swipe are far superior than the 3 TEC 27 Batman pages. They will sell multiples of othe super man pages. Also 7 supes pages and vs 3 batman pages. non superman pages start at 2k plus same as tec 27. ZERO available on the market!!! Says alot... Collectors are holding on to them. The supes and batman pages are 10k+++ people are not selling them The Action 1 page 1 is 30k+++ in todays market ( the holygrail of page collecting bar none)

Just a single page non Batman for 2300$ like the non superman action 1 page batman pages 3 only for tec 27. each page 15-20k

Yes! Page 2 is more exciting and we actually see him. Also as you said full on action. Page 3 is no slouch. I included pics of both sides for both. The more I look at Action 1 page 1 has it all and would win in a battle against all 3 pages 1 on 1. I think the non superman and non batman pages are however equal. The 2300$ sale vs 2000$ could just be the Jerry Robinson copy designatio that added the 300$ more.

Yes. Indeed... The Action 1 Page 1 has the Origin, Ma and Pa Kent, Superman as a Baby, Superman in costume. Superman in Action. Also the first page that started the Super Heroes! The page 1 of Tec 27 has Bruce Wayne, Commissioner Gordon, First page of tec 27. Batman doesnt really appear until page 2.

Speaking of which I think Marvel 1 took back the Spot Around that time because of a uber High grade at Sotheby’s. Also that story line boosted its appeal.

Yes. I think that's about right. Marvel comics 1 was top dawg for all of the 70s and 80s. Then Tec27 with the 1989 movie.

Dont get me started... for Golden Age its Action 1, Tec 27 and I would put Marvel comics 1 scarcer and the first marvel than introduced the first mutant Namor. I think Marvel 1 will play catch up and shoot past Cap1, Bats 1 and even overtaking Supes 1 to reside in 3rd position. It was actually no1 in the 70s and 80s even in the 90s tied for First with tec 27 and ac1 was 3rd.

Agreed but the it wont take as much demand for FF1 to rise near AF15 since the supply is more limited mich rarer than AF15. I agree that specualtors are pushing that alongside with collectors. The possible reintegration on FF to the Marvel Universe is big for speculators and the beginning of Marvel SA will appeal to the collector. Scarcity and Owning all the Marvel Keys are other elements.

AF15 more than 6 fold in 6 years! FF1 flatlined for 6 years just recently doubled.

I agree of the popularity of Spidey. in the comic collecting world it does have an influence but what about the GGA Phantom Lady 17,Startling Comics 49,etc. It’s the collectors that drive the market. Its like at the CONS the COSPLAY people will not be Asking for AF15. Its the people who who know the history of the books. I noticed lotsa of new collectors who dont have a clue of the past keys and there value order. I think nothing stays in place and value change and play catch up. FF1 was definetly way to low. To overtake AF15 perhaps. i would say more at par or slighlty lower. It would need a major sale in the 9.6 category.

Early 2000 before the First Spidey movie. FF1 started back and gave that marvel tone for the Silver Age. Also much rarer.
