Hi Shockmaster,  Thank you for the requests.  We will add these to our list of sets to review.

Thank you very much for adding these sets.

But there's Magic: The Gathering cards in the 2006 Topps Football set.

Imagine having books at CGC for 9 months and these cut the line in front of you.

I wouldn't be surprised nowadays. I waited 8 months for my Value Crossovers to come back to me and they were doing this in that timeframe. You would think CGC would have gotten some sort of money grab from this promotion to prevent price hikes.

  3. I used to send my cards to SGC a long time ago when they were a part of the Collectors Society and I would get coupons for them, CGC and NGC. I liked the quality and display of the slab. Not a fan of how easy it was to crack open though. I built up many sets with them. But when they changed their grading scale, I had to stop grading with them. I want my sets to have a uniform look. I didn't want to my cards to be reslabbed just in case they change their minds again. So CSG is for me.

I'm totally new to this level of trading, however I recently found this set of '81 Topps cards and wondered the advisability of getting some of them graded for future value/trading?? The cost, level, etc.---Thanks

Is this set for your personal collection or for sale?

When i called yesterday they said they were just starting July value submissions. (for whatever that info is worth I suppose) I have a 7/15 that is still in line.....

If they starting July Value submissions, then I wonder where my Value is at. My Value was entered as Received on 6/21.

Torn on what to do with these. I have hit a bunch of 10's on these same cards from the same cases I pulled these from. PSA 10s are monsters on Tatis.  I know CSG is tougher grader, haven't seem many Gem 10s.. Love the $50 express vs $300 super express... such a tough call. Anyone grade any of these? Since there is no Pop Report would love to know what grades have been on these. These are not PC, will be 100% resell cards. Any feedback from those that have graded these cards before with CSG.. thanks!

    Send them to CSG.

I am 53 years old. I used to collect cards, but I stopped back in the early 90s. Rickey Henderson was my favorite player. I have an amazing 80 Topps rookie, and every single other card he was ever on...ungraded. I also have an amzing Fleer Jordan rookie I acquired before the Bulls ever won a championship. Also ungraded. I have Ryan/Koosman rookie, Yount, Bo, Shaq, and several others that are highly desired. All ungraded.

Utif I'm being honest here, I am scared to trust my card to someone to grade (away from my presence) and risk getting back something other that what I sent in. After all, we are talking about some pretty high end, high dollar collector's pieces here. I see what the high graded cards look like, and skin hasn't touched my cards in years. They're in plexiglass cases in  safe deposit box.

So my question is, do I have to grade them? Is it possible to simply sell them or set up some sort of trust thru an agent and then sell them to a serious collector?

My kids tell me to sell them and enjoy the money. What is your opinion? Thank in

I agree to getting the Jordan graded. If you have cards shows close by, see if there are any of the major grading companies are going to be there. That way, you can use the Walkthrough service or drop off the card(s) directly with the company.
