Old School Slabbed Newsstand's The 9.6 presents better than many 9.8's, I see the reason for the 9.6 and would easily press out but on this book simply not worth the expense, especially given the page quality.

Were they advertised as Mint comics?

Purchased in my youth from LCS - now back from CGC, UN-pressed of course. Overlooked issue from early in the series. 2-7 as I recall had the smallest printings in the run. I really like the way J'onn J'onzz was handled, wish Gaiman had done a series with the DC "supers".

If you can get full graded market price without actually getting a book graded great. The rant via run-on sentence makes one seem like the Joker.

Received my childhood Limited #1 copy back this week. As normal unpressed. Also my original 1987 #1 I sent to CGC about 18 years ago. Purchased 2 copies of #1 back then the other copy is now queued in Sarasota Not sure why but the Limited slabbed scan the right edge appears "bowed" while it's not a total straight cut the scan is not true to life - some odd refraction due to the case??? The pre-submission scan shows what it looks like in reality. . Anyhow it's the copy I purchased Oct 1985 in my youth and it ain't goin' nowhere As I recall the Limited series propelled The Punisher from a C or D level character to an A-lister who just a few years later would have 3 concurrent monthly series' Typical 80's Zeck cover; dude firing gun(s) with mouth hanging open There's even a Zeck Cap cover like that. It is classic though!

IMHO Signed or not , the book is dirt common in 9.4, 9.4 on a book of this era is not high grade. Any correction on a high population book will begin at non hi grade levels. As demand on those much more difficult to maintain.

How about Mirage TMNT issue 6? Not sure why but one of the more difficult to score a 9.8. Lowest CGC 9.8 population (only 63) of issues 2-8 and there are double the amount 9.6's (141) as 9.8.

40-50% less than the Direct sale as well.

#'s 4,5,9,14,15 were the 5 for $10. I've kept records of all my back issue purchases since 1990, starting on paper, then Lotus 123 in 1992, then Excel in 1994. My current xlxs is descendant of that original 123 sheet ported to Excel in 1994 I sent #15 to CGC 18 years ago it received (a deserved) 9.6 and at the time there were none higher. A few years later I found a CGC 9.8. I then traded the 9.6 #15. I am thinking of submitting 2 of the remaining 3 from that day.

Fresh back from CGC yesterday - UNpressed. A $2 local con raw purchase from 1995. Picked up 5 High Grade Panthers that day for a ten spot. The dealer was one of the most friendly, honest and genuine I've ever met. Dealt with him at local shows for several years. Rino sure hope you are still with us man and are doing well. Odd that the month of the book not displayed in the trade dress above the corner box.

I've sold under 10 comics in my life, but probably traded 20-25. The earliest trade I recall making was DD 257 condition unknown but no less than NM+ 9.6, for a sealed/unopened Mego Spock on Card - condition approx NM/M. This was back around 1991? Current day not sure it was good deal or not?

Picked this up raw years ago for $5, just received it back from CGC - Not pressed Classic Cover by Perez+Austin! Outstanding Byrne interiors embellished by inking legend Gene Day. Not many books in the history of the Comics Industry before or since from cover to cover that looked so beautiful. Apologies for getting so choked up, but the saying they don't make them like that anymore applies to Avengers 181

Wow that is outstanding! Never knew those existed. For BF (Blue Falcon) fans Dynomutt #2 is pretty much the cover on which he is featured most predominantly. Penciled by Paul Norris co-creator of Aquaman.

As with all Treasury's the Hanna's are very, and likley even more, difficult to find in High grade. In 3 decades, I never came across any that made my personal cut

Petty much all Marvel Hanna's are difficult in high grade since they were newsstand only, these two were the only 9.8's of these issue #'s for around 15 years.

My Laff-A-Lypics 1, when the first CGC census appeared as I recall it was the highest and 1/1 - alas no longer either. 1st Mumbly,1st Daisy Mayhem and 1st Captain CAAAAAVEMAAAAAAANNNN!

Something about the Marvel Hanna-Barbera's has fascinated me since i was a small child. They mostly look like late 1970's Marvel books but they were all non-Marvel Characters. They were not even licensed by Marvel just distributed. Nor were they written and drawn by Marvel staff. Love the film strips on the left side of books with the H-B Characters. The Marvel H-B's to me feel like Meatloaf & Mashed Potatoes or Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup - meaning warm and comforting. #121,122,129 are Blue Chips that in long term will appreciate. Huge 9.8 and 9.6 population books like ASM 361 are questionable if they can sustain. Won't take much of demand drop for that to occur and has since late Sept it's pretty much down 1/3. I see it easily giving up another 1/3 of that. Long term I feel 361 will stagnate. #124 nice book , but yeah if Werewolf is in the MCU then Man-Wolf is redundant. Nice cover and era but at best it will remain a very minor "key" Someone mentioned Ditko issues, in long term no average collector will be able to touch them in 9.2 or above. Get'em while u can.

The only Flipper I ever liked was a Bottle-nose Dolphin and even then not big fan. P.S. Anyone who holds the book for a while is not a Flipper in my mind. Example you purchased a lot in 2018 and are selling some off now. To me a flipper is someone who begins to sell the books pretty much the moment they first acquire them.
