I stopped at an indoor flea market with a tote of $1 comics. The Gentleman Wormwood TPBs are a little worn but I couldn’t leave them for a buck. I loved Moo Mesa as a kid and the comic really brought back some memories.

My wife and two of our kids attended the show Saturday. Good crowd, all the creators seemed happy with the commission work they were getting. I got a bust from Graham Nolan in my Bane omnibus, a Predator headshot from Randy Emberlin, and a quick Batman remarque from Joe Staton (and various signatures and books). The highlight was a surprise dinner with Graham from my wife for my birthday. We had a great time, good food and beer, and he did a great job of tolerating my kids and even drew Bane with them with crayons at the restaurant.

I’ll be there Saturday as well. I’ve lined up some sketches from Nolan, Hama, and Emberlin. Hoping to find a few filler issues as well.

Post your Garage Sale/Flea Market/Antique Mall Finds Here
thechon replied to Shark's topic in Comics General
My mother in law called me from an antique shop 20 miles outside of town. I picked up a few, going back later this week to meet the husband and check out some boxes he has in storage. They had a TON of Topps comics and late 90s Chaos. -
What was your first book when you returned to comics?
thechon replied to mackenzie999's topic in Comics General
I collected as a kid (I bought Knightfall and The Death of Superman, and thought DC vs Marvel was the coolest thing ever--don't judge me). Girls, sports, and guitar took over. I walked into my LCS after a few years hiatus and saw Batman 608. I've been picking up a few books every month since.
