  1. I'm just happy to experience this historical event in an active collector's phase of mine. (Had paused during professional education and on one or two other occasions.)
  2. A week now since the announcement and I'm still awe-stricken. It's like you know for sure that Atlantis will emerge in two months. IMHO it's not possible for such a collection to be appreciated in a museum as much as in the hands of a thousand or so individual collectors around the world. The spirit of this collection is going to spread bit by bit and by that - hopefully - will be thriving.
  3. 6.5 slight (A-1) restored/pq cream-off white
  4. "Diamond Galleries -- The Vault Opens" (don't know how to link it with my mobile)
  5. Heck that could be a thriller book. They should see to including some, if not all of Berk's research articles. And/or the consigner could add some personal comments on the most special books and art. Maybe he's working on it right now ... Sure. For me it will be the auction catalogue.
  6. No? It's claimed to be part of the auction preview at Metropolis Gallery: https://www.metropolisgallerynyc.com/portfolio.html
  7. Oh no - no jbcomicbox can be empty But, you know, all I can say is: "Thank You So Much For Sharing Sir"
  8. some more info: http://dassagtenuff.blogspot.de/2009/03/supermann-und-superknabe-deutschlands.html newsstand advertising poster showing cover of #1 introduced series as "EIN WELTERFOLG" ("A WORLD SUCCESS") greetings from Hannover/Germany
  9. Same here, first portion of the cover design is truely outstanding. Love the unique typeface of the title name. My favourite issue and the only Centaur book I own. Cover very much looks like a promotional poster. The elegant female acrobat in the up to date swimsuit with matching red bathing cap for me takes the cake. I wonder why they took the trouble of composing a new cover for promotional purpose? Is a printing date known? Note the use of the new typface of the capital letters starting with no. 21.
  10. checking every day no matter what just signed up to let you know greetings from Hannover/Germany
