  1. And here's the ASM 298, CGC 9.8, with white pages, and great spine centering. This one's gaining interest again as more and more collectors are trying to complete the 1st appearance of Venom trifecta of ASM 298, 299, 300.
  2. Here's the ASM 238, with perfectly centered spine & excellent signature placement. I don't think I need to tell you how hot this book is. Prices continue to escalate week after week.
  3. I contacted the eBay seller of the 9.4 and asked him for his bottom line on the book. His responded with “I have had several good offers on this book. Thanks” I guess I’ll leave it at that.
  4. I collected multiple runs of ASM 1-328 (stopped cold turkey once Erik Larsen took on penciling duties). Whenever I could afford to do so, I purchased as many 1st appearance books as possible. In particular, ASM 50, 129, 194, 238, 252, 300, and also, ASM 100 because its my favorite cover.

  6. Given the numerous price spikes across all eras of collecting during the past year, I thought everyone would be desensitized towards any 'surprises' now. After all, its been happening for some time now, on hundreds of books.
  7. Ebay used to have so many copies available, but looks like the clink sale has caused a lot of copies to move. Very few copies available in 9.0 or better... Current ASM 129 availability on clink as follows: 9.8 There are two PGX 9.8's with ow/w pages. Roll the dice if you're feeling lucky 9.6 white pages, nice spine centering = $15K obo sig series (Lee), white pages, decent spine centering = $14.95K obo sig series (Lee), ow/w pages, spine off-centered = $12.5K 9.4 ow/w pages, nice spine centering = $5K sig series (Lee & Romita), ow/w pages, decent spine centering = $11,996 9.2 ow/w pages, decent spine centering = $4.8K 9.0 white pages, spine off-centered = $3.85K
  8. I finally had the opportunity to review the OA offerings in full, and this auction has so many interesting things for me that it will be incredibly difficult to focus my attention on just a handful of pieces. For me, the material in this auction is the best in several years.
  9. No, that would just make them old, like me Savvy folks can still get in now and flip books for profit. Just depends if you want to make a quick nickel or a slow dime.
  10. I think time will show that savvy speculators are the ones buying these books...if they sell in time.
  11. So the Clink auction included a 9.6 cgc ow/w selling for $7.1K, which is a very impressive sale...unless you put it side-by-side against the ebay 9.6 white pages which just sold for $8.775K I truly think pent up demand will see folks paying $10K+ for a 9.6 with white pages soon. This book is now on fire across multiple grades
  12. Depends on your health and value of your collections(s). if selling = life changing money, then I would do it and enjoy my retirement/semi retirement while I am still healthy enough to do so.
  13. Auctions are ending today, and the books are still well below fair market value, so here's an opportunity to pick up some high demand books without breaking your wallet. Good luck to all bidders!
  14. I think ASM 129 is making up for lost time...while other Bronze keys were increasing in value prior to covid, ASM 129 values actually declined, especially in 9.4-9.8. There was an opportunity, for several months, to purchase 9.4's with white pages for under $3K, 9.6's for around $4K, and 9.8's for $12-13K. Now it appears as if the other Bronze keys continued their upwards price increases, making ASM 129 seem like a relatively good deal in comparison. So I suspect some of the recent spike in ASM 129 is attributable to 'catch up' to some of the other Bronze keys.
  15. Wrong. Coming out of that era, TMNT 1 is the biggest book of that era. As you like to say, proof is in the price.
  16. I’m sorry, but there are so many things that are incorrect with your posting that I wouldn’t know where to begin my response. perhaps somebody more articulate than me can chime in here...@Jeffro ?
