  1. If Cap was battling Dragon Man on both pages, then yes, it would be a good basis for price comps. However, the other page is vs Machinesmith so not really the best comp
  2. Franco and Tom! franco was Arnold’s training partner back in the day.
  3. I used to drive down to this show from Toronto with a bunch of buddies, and it was always a fun little road trip. The show was worthwhile to purchase cheap books, key books, original comic art, and pick up a sketch or two. there used to be several dealers set up from the Greater Toronto Area at the show, and we’d always bump into dozens of friends and fellow collectors, too No longer! this show has been in a downward spiral since 2015, and based on this years’ comic guest list and vendor list, I can totally understand why nobody in my collecting circle has any interest in going to the show this year. this show used to be great, but it’s unfortunate how far it’s fallen 😞
  4. Niagara Falls comic con has some good comic guests, as well as some primo Legends of Wrestling stars: https://nfcomiccon.com/wrestling-guests/
  5. I think it’s a bit premature to determine if the ‘price correction’ is here, Based on what!?! One Ill-advertised Clink auction containing C and D-level pages? need more data points from a few more auctions containing decent material.
  6. The Isherwood Suicide Squad page actually sold for far less than it should. Basically, the winner got it at a 50% discount. I can’t speak to the other pages as I don’t follow them closely enough
  7. Is this a recent photo? just asking ‘cause none of the books are slabbed

  9. Wonderful JJJ page. Gotta love that cranky old man!
  10. As much as I like Aparo’s work on Aquaman (and I really, really do), I think Cardy was the best Aquaman artist, but that’s just my opinion. Aparo’s early work on B&B was awesome. The tightly rendered figures and awesome detailed backgrounds are a sight to behold.
  11. Wolverine is being carried by Storm in the 1st panel.
  12. I hear you and share your pain…it’s happened to me a few times already.
