  1. Very nice man…very sad to hear about his passing. come to think of it, John Romita Sr is the only living artist I can think of who started in the same era as Joe.
  2. In comparison to the other covers that sold during that time for $27K-$33K, $75K was very high. However, you then went on to say that if it was priced in that same range it would have a line around the block of buyer. Well, duh. No-brainer.
  3. It was very high. several Miller DD covers sold 1-2 years earlier for $27K-$33K. The exception being the 188 cover, which went for $101K. having said that, the $101K was superior to the other covers that sold during that time

  5. Because it’s taped together with masking tape, I would bid less for the page than I would have otherwise. I don’t see how folks can say that it won’t impact the value of the page when clearly there are folks like me who stay away from pages with masking tape
  6. What can I say? I was collecting ASM at the time when the introduction and mysterious ID of the Hobgoblin was a big deal. So, I'm interested in picking up some early Hobby covers from ASM. I already know what's on CAF, and I check the major auction houses, but its been pretty dry for a while. I'm interested in purchasing the following covers, and I will pay a $5K finder's fee for information/contact leading towards the purchase of a cover...
  7. Maybe, maybe not. Some sellers pay a lower % on HA. Furthermore, the EBay seller must use PayPal, which also adds to the cost of the transaction for the seller
