  1. Yeah, I'm not 100% sure if $650 was the original price, but I'm fairly certain it was more than $450. Perhaps $550?
  2. I believe the original listing price was $650. IMO $450 is still a GREAT price for the seller.
  3. I placed a buy order at 7:10 pm PST, approx. 15 mins after it was listed. I was informed today that the book is not available as someone hit the BIN before me. I thought that once I placed my buy order that the book would show as "sale pending", but there was nothing showing. Oh well, no biggie.
  4. Big-time Kudos to: Johnny G for some much needed Gerber supplies. He mailed my order out about 30 mins after I got off the phone with him on Wed. night. When he says he provides the BEST customer service on the WWW, he ain't kidding. Give him a try if you haven't already, you will not be disappointed. Thanks to sckao for taking a cheap slab off my hands. I gave him a price with shipping & he actually paid $5 more!
  5. Big-time Kudos to the following Forumites for excellent transactions. Smooth and hassle-free from both buying and selling perspectives: greggy goldust40 Rip bigfiver69 sterlingcomics metropolisent blazingbob
  6. The main reason why I sold it was because I didn't like the miswrap. FYI, I thought the book had a chance at being a 9.2.
  7. Mike, I'm not 100% certain, but yes it is quite possible that I purchased it from Ed. I'm sure I have a record of the transaction somewhere. A little off topic, but it's too bad Ed no longer runs his own comic business as he was one of the most accurate graders that I've ever dealt with. Definitely right up there with the cream of the crop (Sulipa, drbanner, Storms, VZ, etc...). PS: Killer copy, Mike!
  8. What's happening with the bottom edge? It's needs to be pressed like your copy?
  9. I'll dig it out & send you a BC scan one of these days.
  10. Nope, my 9.4 keeper. Only copy which I've seen with pretty well perfect QP. Unfortunately, the placement of the price, issue number, and comics code is too close to the right side. This copy is actually perfectly centered. Greg, you've seen my Oakland Copy that has absolutely perfect QP.

  12. Got your list yet? Not quite. Really busy lately, a lot of different things to do. It hasn't been a big priority. I'm not looking forward to grading and pricing 50+ books, but hopefully it will all be done this weekend.
  13. Nice book! Probably one of the toughest HOM giants to find in NM 9.4 or better. Census currently has 7 9.2s as the highest graded.
  14. Overdue Kudos to: greggy: my good collecting buddy for buying a load of books from me and for sending in my CGC submissions along with his. blazingbob: picked up some nice raw, Don Rosa DC Horror books from him. Some of them weren't upgrades on my current copies so they will be available for sale. joe collector: he buys more than just Byrne X-Men! deathlok: sold him a couple of nice Mass. Pedigree war books. High Voltage: purchased a few high grade DC Bronze Horrors from me. Weird: very astute buyer. I think we have similar tastes in comics. Rip: bought a CGC 9.0 Batman from me on eBay. metropolisent: a few excellent transactions the past few months. sterlingcomics: sold a top census HOM to him. I should have at least a couple more for you by the end of November. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. If I forgot you, I apologize in advance. LMK and I'll give you Kudos next time.
  15. When I first saw that cover I thought it was pretty run-of-the-mill, but the more I looked at it the more I realized how creepy it really is. Less slasher and more serial killer. I got the Oakland copy a while back from Metro b/c I liked it so much. What grade is your WH 20 Oakland? I bought my Oakland copy way back in 1998 or 1999, and I think it's NM or better (haven't pullled it out in a while). Also, WH 20 was sold in sealed packs so it's relatively common in high grade.
  16. Both my copies have the pink printing... Jim I've owned and seen many WWT 64's. Based on what I've seen, I would tend to agree with BOC's observation that the pink box is more common. Here is one without the pink box:
  17. ? Your average Wrightson is my Favorite Wrightson cover from the entire era. I love the demons and the purple background.
  18. CGC 9.2 HOM # 213 White Pages, "Average" Wrightson cover. If not for a few fingerprint smudges this would most likely be a 9.4
  19. CGC 9.6 HOM # 211 OWW Pages, Top Census, Nice Wrightson Vampire cover
  20. A few more Wrightson covers, already in the collection for a while. CGC 9.4 HOM # 209 OWW Pages, Sharp copy despite the arrival date
  21. I submitted these books for Vince and they are beauties! The CGC 9.2s are most definitely killer books. Probably nicer than some 9.4s that I've owned and subsequently sold!
  22. CGC 9.6 HOM # 218 White Pages, Top Census, Notice the ice block is cut in half?
  23. CGC 9.2 HOM # 217 White Pages, Another Killer Wrightson cover
