  1. That is great! The Lizard must have been the greatest fighter of them all since he was manufactured with a fist!
  2. Nah. Nova has an origin similar to Green Lantern. My character.. I never really explained how he became what he is, he just is. That is what is kind of fun about being a kid, just do it doesn't need an explanation. His helmet emblem is basically 2 triangles overlapped that I was doodling during math class as we learned basic geometry
  3. Nope, never have. I am looking to buy one in June, I was quoted a price of $400 for both the airbrush and the compressor. I have until September to get a hang of it.
  4. I created Neron Man when I was in grade 3, which was 1973 to 1974. Nova came out a little later and yes there is a resemblance but it is coincidental.
  5. Latest page I have created is a 20" x 30" Silver Surfer after Kirby Customer is wanting it in color, and I will need to purchase an airbrush. Pending some comic sales at the next show on June 11 so this one is shelved for the moment...
  6. First page I started is a 20" x 30" Silver Surfer after Kirby He is wanting it in color, and I will need to purchase an airbrush. Pending some comic sales at the next show on June 11 so this one is shelved for the moment...
  7. The Mercenary villain in that issue was the imagination of a kid who changed / mutilated his megos to create new characters. He was the combination of the Green Goblins body, a Spider-Man head, and his throwing disc was a plastic poker chip! Fun stuff.
  8. Created during my childhood years, Neron Man was a comic I drew for 14 complete issues, an annual and a cover to issue 16. I started when I was 8 years old in 1973, and stopped drawing these comics when I was 15 just before going to high school. I had intended to keep making them but in high school I joined the football team then in the summer between grade 10 and 11 the family moved from Edmonton to a small city named St. Albert about 15 minutes north. There seemed to be no more time to draw comics for fun. By request, here is the 8th issue of Neron Man for your enjoyment from circa 1978.
  9. By request, I will be scanning and adding an entire issue of Neron Man to the "show us your personal art" thread.
  10. The villain in that book can change shapes and imitated Neron Man and did a jewelry store robbery and killed the store owner all in an effort to have the only hero that could possibly stop him be out of the picture.
  11. Here watch this youtube video, feels like I have seen the whole movie now.
  12. One is closer to you than the other is all. Come on, I painted it for my Mom!
  13. being able to submit and ss. The line for McFarlane in Calgary was 5 hours long. CGC missed a huge opportunity in my opinion.
  14. I am wondering because CGC wont come to Calgary which is a show that has near 100,000 people attend but will go to the Nickle City show.
