  1. account shows 2 items with feedback as the seller ( the only 2 that are viewable ) but the items are not comics or comic related they are jewelry type items. It is a nice looking copy, but in light of the ID change Mar 31/17 and relative uncertainty I would stay clear. Good luck if anyone bids / wins and then receives the book.
  2. the "Troy" blank I created artwork on was attached to the book, over the real cover ( just like the current blanks are ). Does anyone know if you remove the staples to attach the new cover paper and then re-insert the same staples and close them does that = restored label?
  3. your question is a loaded one. What I mean is there is a lot of things that need to be ascertained. Best advice: make sure you learn about how to grade comics. The "please grade my" section of these forums has a lot to offer for grading. Why do I say learn about grading? because 2/3 of your submission returned ungraded due to your prescreen limit of 9.0 and I assume you had hoped many of your books were to be 9.0 or better.
  4. appears to be long fiber version of filmoplast. I believe the grade would be conserved, but I am not 100% certain. The long fiber filmoplast can be cut to sizes needed.
  5. It is difficult to grade a comic from photos instead of scans. Reflections and lighting can hide things you would see in a scan. I do see some spine ticks, but not sure how many there are. As to the loss of gold: these gold coated books tend to have some loss. Some more than others. I have seen 9.8's with some minor amounts of loss. Here is a CGC 9.2 that I think is worse than yours: https://comics.ha.com/itm/modern-age-1980-present-/spider-man-1-gold-edition-signature-series-marvel-1990-cgc-nm-92-white-pages/a/121441-12405.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 I think your copy is a 9.4
  6. Goody! I say when she is on the screen it just lights up! Or is it that I light up when she is on screen?
  7. Indeed I am, Humanity has always been exceptional at destruction of all things: themselves and anything around them. I say the Engineers checked in on their creation and they saw what was to come and wanted to destroy it.
  8. I saw it last night. I am mixed on it, there were parts I thought were great and then there were lots of parts I didn't like. The part I liked the least is the use of the Alien as a "crazed" killing creature hell bent on the death of all. I never felt the Aliens were like that in the first films. Yes it killed, but there was also cultivation of hosts for the species and since there were other eggs / facehuggers I felt the Alien would have been more interested in capture to propagate the species. The Alien in the first 2 films also demonstrated an intelligence that I felt was utterly gone in the latest film. 6 out of 10 unfortunately.
  9. I received my catalog yesterday by FedEx. The driver contact me by phone, he was at my home and I persuaded him to drive to my work to drop it off ( only 3 blocks away! ) Nice catalog.
  10. Hello, My name is Karl. Please allow me to answer your query. The engineers are returning to destroy humanity as humanity are a pathogen as well. Humanity created artificial creations ( David ) and sent them forth to generate weapons of mass destruction. They are no longer functioning as intended and must be destroyed to preserve other life.
  11. She is so pretty, that is her boyfriend wearing Halloween mask and fake gloves coming in and all he is doing is scaring her ..right?
  12. the first golden age book I ever bought was a Tomb of Terror #1 that I bought in Sept 2009.
  13. Just fantastic stuff. The lot that went for $3300 contained several books on my want list, including Venus 17. I can only imagine what grade it was and if it is anything like these fabulous books you acquired it is worth a lot.
  14. Just seems so random how they organized the auction lots, and yet they were not random at all. Cool stuff.
  15. extremely happy to see that and I am hoping to see it more. Far to many blanks are very dirty when brand new on the shelves.
