  1. As many of you know, I've been "sad" as nobody would sell me their Golden Age artwork SO I want to thank my friend from the Windy City for stepping up and selling me two great Joe Kubert splashes so I could keep showing my love for the Golden Age-- thank you. Here is Speed Comics #33 p.24 (Harvey Comics 1944) featuring The Black Cat by Joe Kubert. Here is Speed Comics #42 p.42 (Harvey Comics 1946) by Joe Kubert - ...
  2. I'd probably sell the Slam-Bang to me separately though..:)
  3. I'd like to buy the SLAM BANG page -- will arrange for pick-up
  4. The buyer wants me to declare the full value which I'm happy to do. Fedex told me the most they will insure it for is $1K. The guy said he wouldn't ship it. I will try again. Very crazy.
  5. I am sure this was answered but how do you ship a $20K+ piece of art to Ireland? Fedex won't take it as its value is over $1,000. Any help?
  6. I would probably go with the "bees and honey" and send a kind note telling them you were quite pleased to see your photo but that you didn't recall any permission and that you will and do hereby grant full permission provided they simply write you a thank you note for use of the photo. That way, you get a cool story and a thank you from a wonderful company.
  7. S. Clarke Hawbaker - I have a One Minute Later and a Protectors cover. Not much in demand. Great skills. Minimal output. I like his work.
  8. The defaced pages are horrid. Possibly the work of someone who had a mental breakdown. If you want sex organs and other horrors then commission him. Really juvenile. Feel terrible for you Andrew.
  9. Ok - 3 points 1) Dan Green seems utterly classless. I will never commission him. I have seen the actual page and I think Dan is someone who people should AVOID at all costs. 2) The only relation between Dan and Golden's absurd "Patience is a Virue" is that in both cases the folks who did the commissions were blameless and were victims. 3) Restating point #1 - avoid Dan Green unless you want your art defaced -- terrible behavior. Immature, bush-league and profoundly sad.
  10. Title says it all - if you have some Golden Age super-hero art, I'm interested....
  11. Golden Age collector here - I'd love to get a page from the golden age featuring any of the Nedor super-heroes such as Black Terror...
  12. I spent a great deal of time checking this out when I visited Dave a few years back - great page
  13. I have bought from Spencer for years. He is terrific. I 100% trust him.
  14. Detective #566 One Minute Later - part 2 by Ransom Getty - Batman has vanished; Robin is coming to look and all the pictures have changed...
  15. Thank you so much for the kind words -- there are lots of great commission collectors out there and I'm always thrilled when people like mine too...
  16. The Legal Eagles at Help4Creators are trying to find Cory Hamscher to sort out an issue. We found him. All seems good. Thanks all.
  17. Anyone have any to sell...……………….Bueller???? PM Me....
  18. Been awhile but I'm back with a brand new One Minute Later -- 15+ years of my OML theme and still going strong...art by Ransom Getty
  19. Great story and so glad for you to get an entire ROM story
  20. I love Albert Moy -- super guy and always willing to share his knowledge -- one of my favorite dealers and I cannot say enough good things about him -- my collection would be a lot poorer if not for Albert -- love the guy.....
  21. I believe there are several people who saw all 4 pieces prior to the time everything was resolved. They all had a good laugh I believe. At least one of the other pieces is out there for people to see but the text was digitally removed when it was placed on CAF so as to not inflame the situation (and, no, I am not going to point it out as there is no reason to do that). However, visitors to the collector's home can easily see the original by thumbing through the owner's Itoyas.
