  1. I had 30-40 longboxes - sold everything for comic art -- I didn't bulk it out until the end as I had a ton of CGC Keys and Golden Age -- all gone.
  2. Hahah - it was great fun to have the NY Times in my house -- my family was impressed. But, I screwed up, shortly after the interview I learned of a FOURTH Hobo character from the Golden Age -- oops
  3. What is a THRID party authenticator? I read it carefully on the AH COA but I don't know what a "Thrid" is?
  4. No - I don't think you can -- this was a gift from Spencer -- I do know that Spencer has 1-2 in his collection that you can probably pry out of him.
  5. Posting again that I'm still very interested -- love to buy 1940s superhero artwork especially from non Big Two....
  6. Here is the cover to Mighty World of Marvel #36 (2003 Marvel/Panini) recreating the famous John Byrne cover to Hulk Annual #7. This was published in Europe by Marvel/Panini. For reasons not clear to me, Marvel had UK artist David Roach do line by line recreations. Logo/text is all new and on an overlay. Super way to get a very famous cover for a fraction of the price. PUBLISHED. $499
  7. Here is the cover to Mighty World of Marvel #51 (2203 Marvel/Panini) by David Roach which recreates the famous Art Adams cover. This cover was published in Europe. For reasons not clear to me, Marvel had UK artist David Roach do line by line recreations. Logo/text is all new and on an overlay. Super way to get a very famous cover for a fraction of the price. PUBLISHED. $700
  8. Bernie Wrightson - Dragon and Knight Illustration (c. 1960s). A nice early pen and ink Wrightson. I was told it was for a fanzine but never was able to find out. Affixed to Bristol board and matted, the image is ~17 x 11 with the matting 22.75" x 17.5". $1400
  9. Jack Kirby - Missileman/Bulletman (DC, 1983). This was drawn in 1983 and published in the Jack Kirby Checklist: Gold Edition produced by TwoMorrows Publishing in 2008. It is huge coming in at 19 x 24 on Bristol Board. Signed. This was either a design for the Super Powers mini-series Jack did for DC or maybe a toy design. Not clear. $2500
  10. It sure it Mitch -- I'll take great care of it -- it is a treasure for me. MF
  11. I have a Hulk v Subby he did for his son; never saw a DD.
  12. Nice pick-up on the Kubert Cap cover - I've thought about it many times -- way to go in pulling the trigger - you bought a really good one.
  13. I don't think so - it was bought by a collector who I believe will cherish it
  14. No - if you show up and bid live on site. No juice for in-person bids I believe. And, I think 2% off as well if you pay in cash. I think that is right so a dealer could show up and pay 98% of his bid price instead of 120% like the rest of us.
  15. Remember - no juice if you bid live on site, right?
  16. I bid via the Internet and I had a paddle number
  17. For reasons unknown to me, Marvel UK had artist David Roach do line by line recreations of famous Marvel covers and then ran the covers in Mighty World of Marvel. Here is #51 featuring Arthur Adam's Fantastic Four cover -- again, this is by David Roach -- this is the published cover. Logo/text is on an overlay and is not original. $2500 which is a fraction of what the actual Arthur Adams cover would cost.
