I totally understand that and respect youre feelings. As a crime buff I can say there are lots of woman who snuff out their partners as well. Not as much as the opposite though but it is quite common. Usually out of jealousy or for Insurance money. I believe we are speaking of CSS 22. Personally I prefer Vault of Horror 35 more. It's what's about to happen that attracts my attention.

Wow. How long have you had all those about? I ask because I think you probably got them long before they became so costly. I envy you guys and girls who had the foresight to acquire these back then.

Normally I never post on a sales thread unless I'm going to buy the book because when the seller sees the notification that there's a new reply, then they see it's just someone saying "nice book" or something to that effect , they're probably like "well that stinks". Having said that.....Nice book Mr. B.

Just reading a little about the man who created what became DC comics, Malcolm Wheeler Nicholson. Seems they really screwed him over. In 1935, Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson came to Independent News seeking a new distributor for the comic book projects his company, National Allied Publications, was producing. Although comic books were not Donenfeld's main field, he took on Wheeler-Nicholson, and Independent News began printing and distributing comic books. Wheeler-Nicholson brought out two comics, New Fun and New Comics—the former of historical note as the first modern comic book with all-original material, as opposed to newspaper-comic reprints with occasional, tangential new material—but it would be his third publication, Detective Comics, that would prove key. Already in considerable debt with Independent, Wheeler-Nicholson could only fund publication of Detective Comics by creating a subsidiary company—Detective Comics Incorporated—in partnership with Liebowitz. In 1938, Donenfeld managed to remove Wheeler-Nicholson from the equation, pushing Detective Comics, Inc. into bankruptcy and buying its assets.[13] As part of the bankruptcy action, Liebowitz—now sole owner of Detective Comics Inc.—bought up Wheeler-Nicholson's National Allied Publications, and Donenfeld and Liebowitz assumed control over the entire, growing comic-book publisher. And this- DC's 50th-anniversary publication Fifty Who Made DC Great cites the Great Depression as "forc[ing] Wheeler-Nicholson to sell his publishing business to Harry Donenfeld and Jack Liebowitz in 1937".[8] However, wrote comics historian Gerard Jones:

That's how I felt just by hearing him call it a second banana hero posing like a female fashion model. Some things you just can unhear. Tecnically he's running with the weight of a woman on one side while turning quickly and shooting a guy across the room. I think that's exactly how it would look. This conversation is going on in this thread and the Fox Appreciation thread at the same time which is kind of unique and Dan made an excellent post about it in the Fox thread. Everyone has different thoughts and favorites and without that this wouldn't be so fun. I can totally see why MM2 is so appealling and would be considered the best cover of the series. Personally I like #'s 3 and 10 best followed very closely by #2.

A bunch just went up tonight and w they're gone. Tec 38, 58, 18, All Star 8, and a bunch of other big money books. If you go on now theyre still showing up.

Most of the time that happens it's people who got their accounts hijacked, like LDarkseid said. Once in a while I see a bunch of serious GA books being sold by someone who never sold a comic, usually with pics from past auction sales in the description. Next day they're gone.

Everywhere I get my books from has my P.O. box as the shipping address. Too many times waiting around all day for a package then I get notified it will be tomorow instead. Absolutley Positively? I think not.

That's awesome. One of the elite few. I see someone just bought the .5 from CC for 850.00. I wonder where the one you sold is today, or if it ever got slabbed.

That's overkill. Are they concerned that someone who doesn't live at the house is in the house and answering the door? License? I don't have to show you any stinking license. If the buyer gives an address then they are responsible for who answers the door at that address, not fedex.

No but that is a good example I guess. 15 years back it seems there was a goldmine to be had on some raw books on Heritage. Who knew at the time I suppose. I sure didn't. Yep they're everywhere. 20.00 books in 50.00 holders. Lotta money in that there plastic.

Very good points. Now you've convinced me back. You know I'm only kidding around. I love Mystery Men 3 .I was the one who said MM3 will probably sell for more than MM2 over time a few posts back. But before I completely discounted @adamstrange description of the cover of Mystery Men 3 I looked up the term Fashion Model Pose and I found these right away.

That's interesting. I never bought a raw book from them. I didn't really find Heritage until around 2010. But I think there must have been some great deals to be had in the old days on Heritage with raw books. Someone recently posted a pic of a raw Weird Mystery 4 they won in 2006 for 89.00. In a 7.0 slab now and worth 30,000.

So you're saying Green Mask isn't posing like a female fashion model on MM3 and the guy on the cover of Jumbo 11 doesn't look like Indiana Jones? I don't know, I think he's making good points. He's got me convinced.

I think that all the time. We see so many low grade especially Silver and Bronze, more and more every day. Why are they paying to grade common non key or minor key books that are obviously going to come back low or mid grade and have a selling value of no more or even less than if they were raw. I'll never get it. With low grade books older than say 1960 or thereabout I can see getting them slabbed for conservation if that's what they want. The first thing I thought of when I saw there were separating ages is that by grouping together the Gold by itself it may bring more attention to them and create more interest in them followed by higher prices. I guess that's good for some but there's still a lot of books I want showing up all the time and the competition is already insane. Honestly these things are addicting. On the other hand by separating era's maybe the Silver and newer collectors won't even see the Gold this way. Out of sight out of mind.

Makes more sense no doubt. I kind of like them mixed in over 2 days a little better. Once you scroll through the 50 or so Spidey books it's not that bad.

I sent them two Golden books in late February and they are listed for a Sunday auction on May 16th. With Comiclink they can recieve a book a day or two before the auction starts and it's in. I think CL pays up a lot quicker too. Either way as long as they pay.

This weekends auction put all the GA books on Sunday.
