I saw that. Hard to have faith when you see stuff like this. No offense intended to cgc but more than ever I am looking at the book more than the grade these days.

I would just forget about e bay. They are going to do what they wan't no matter what. And the governments are going to take everything they can no matter what. All the tax on internet sales now has got to be an astroniminal amount of money. But they gotta pay the central bankers back the interest for the trillions in dollars loaned to them to finance the corona virus spending. That money had to come from somewhere, now the debt is due. After all they have nukes.
Sorry to say but the only way to avoid it is don't do business with them.

I am actually watching a lot of stuff in this one.
Me too. 165 of them. It's a really good one. Amazing Man.......are some of the books offered.
And I can see about 80% of the pics now.

These are put together by our own Barry Sandoval. I let him know the people need to have the info and he told me he will work on compiling them over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.
Oh I didn't know this was you. At least who I now think you are. Yeah those lists he makes are real neat.

Thanks for this. I looked all over for the article but couldn't find it, even on the HA site. Did he make these kind of lists for other publishers also?

Well, of course it should be pretty obvious that I never meant that Rob would be doing the scanning himself.
More that the whole thing should be a lot more organzied and at least look like they have their act together which certainly does not appear to be the case on this go round here.
All I can say is that if I was a consignor in this particular Event Auction here, I would not be that happy with what I am seeing here so far.
Hey , Well one of the books I'm watching showed up today so that's a step forward. I called them a few days ago to ask them about a book I'm interested in but the scan that was up looked different from the last time they sold the same book, and she spoke to the scanning dept and said they are taking care of business and working overtime.

It was fixed this morning. The invoice had not been marked “shipped” in our system, so they were not showing up on the lookup.
Thank you Mike you're awesome. Mystery solved.

Congratulations for passing today's spelling test.
To be honest I looked it up after Mr. B's post, wanted to be sure I understood the joke. I would have spelled it with 2 R's also.

FWIW I completely agree with both of these points.
In this world image appears to be everything, and the Purple label got the bad rap and the bad rep, and as such label chasers assigned their own personal label of snobbery to a restored book.
I also agree that the damage is done now and that trying to incorporate one colour label to all books with notations would cause uproar amongst the hipster flippers.
Personally it would not bother me and I would welcome it.
The whole label game is a bit of a farce anyway when you consider that a book with a smidge of glue might get a purple one day and a blue the next by different graders who may possibly have skipped breakfast that day.
Hi Paul, anybody know what the deal with this really is? I'm talking glue. I've seen many books that say something like "Small amount of glue........" , some are Blue Label, some Purple.
There is a Dynamic Comics 11 Purple on e bay right now that is a good example. It's a "policy" of CGC I never understood. To me it shouldn't be considered resto or at least enough to warrant a purple label. Tape doesn't, why should glue?

I don’t know. I could see how you could get that, but I think it’s a flower. I think it’s cop v. gangster. I agree that the clearly-deceased pieces off the board are a masterful touch!

Oh yeah. I always thought it was a mobster. Then I thought it was a badge. Alright thanks for straightening me out.

Dynamic 12 is a great cover. It's two cops playing the game right? I used to think rather portly fellow was a gangster but I think that's a badge on his coat.
I like covers that have symbolic themes to them. Trippy would be another way to describe them. Like how the captured pieces are clearly deceased. Other Chesler books like that are Dynamic 11, 19. Punch 9 and 12 and I'm sure a few others.

No, I was referring to my initial post.
I think we all dislike those speculator type only in it for the money people as much as you. But it is nice when you know the books you bought in the past could now be sold for more than you got them for even if you have no intention of ever selling any of them.

Yes, also totally perflexing to me and hopefully just a glitch in their census data and not another scam that's about to hit CGC.
Maybe we need somebody like @CGC Mike to dig into the reason for this "missing link" here.
Yeah that would be good. I only noticed because I was going to try to grab it. I did write to Goldin but got kind of a generic response saying the book represents 1/12 of the census but they'll look into it further. Now I'm just curious why it's not showing up. # 4356456013

Does anyone have an explanation why there are no 3.5's on the census and why the cgc number says no results found on this Detective Picture Stories 5 on Goldin?

I only checked this one.I couldn't find the CGC # either. What would cause a book or books to not show up not just on the census but on the verification page as well?
I saw what it sold for but I'm wondering why there is no record of this book on CGC.
